A Pretty Spider Catcher Was Her Gift!

The Ideal Human Gadget
My eldest Granddaughter just had her sixteenth birthday, and I had to smile when I saw the gift her little sister had bought her.
Neither of the girls like spiders in their room. The younger of the two, already has a conker in each corner of her room because she was told that they would keep the spiders out. I don't know how true that is but she sure was going to give it a try. Well, last week her older sister had her birthday, and the girls save up their money to buy each other a present. The little one had come up with this spider catcher, from BV Leisure. As you can see, it's bright pink, with a daisy top, which has a smiley face on it. There are little holes in the top, supposedly so the spiders can breath. You have to put batteries in the bottom of the cup shape, then when you see a spider, you take off the flower top, place the tube over the spider, switch it on, and it creates a vacuum which gently sucks the spider into the tube. You then replace the daisy head, and carry the spider outside to release it from the tube. I thought that was a great present, and my little granddaugher was so proud that she'd found this. It was a prettier version than others I've seen too; it's like a flower in a flower pot, which wouldn't look ugly or out of place in any room. I had no idea what it was until Sarah showed me. I thought it was a game. What a great gift.
If there's anybody out there afraid of spiders, one of these is the ideal gadget for you. It looks quite pretty left on the sideboard, or dressing table, and is handy at a moment's notice... any takers? :) I have to tell you, in my interest, I looked up the product and found it on Amazon.co.uk. Unfortunately, I couldn't see it on Amazon.com. as I think BV Leisure is an English Company. You can find the link in the box below.
