To many people credit cards are no longer a luxury they are a necessity.And in today's hard economic times people are unfotuntly piling up more and more credit card debt and unless they can win the lottery or have a rich uncle leave them money they will never be out of credit card debt.

And a lot of credit card companies are worried about the massive credit card debt being incurred by many people. If you think your the only one who owes thousands in credit card debt your wrong. The credit card debt in America is the highest it has ever been in the history of the credit card.

Do you know that it was in 1950 when businessman Francis Xavier McNamara ask himself would Americans pay money for the convenience of not having to carry cash. After forgetting to bring cash to an important business lunch in 1950 McNamara devised the all purpose Diners Club Card, which was such a success that it spawned copycat ventures including Dine & Sign and the Signet Club. Of these post Diners Club ventures only American Express caught on but it wasn't long before MasterCard and Visa came on the scene.

And today Master Card and Visa are more readily available to the American Public than any other credit cards in history. If you need a Master Card or Visa you can easily obtain a disposable one today down at your local service station or Walmart. With these disposable credit cards you can usually buy them for the amount you want. And many banks now offer secured credit cards where you put down a deposit of cash and get a MasterCard or Visa with the dollar amount on it you put down.

And the really great thing with disposable credit cards or secured credit cards is that you can't run up huge credit card debt. You can only spend what is available on the card. And you need to be really careful with running up credit card debt because before you know it with the high interest rates most credit card companies your credit card debt can balloon to a astronomical size that you will never get payed off paying only the minimum monthly payment.

You can however negotiate with your credit card company as far as interest rates and repayment schedules. Don't be afraid to call them up and talk with them. And if that fails to work call up one of the credit card debt  consolidation companies and ask for help. Credit Card Debt is the newest monster hiding under the bed or in the closet for most people. And no your ever growing credit card debt is not going to go away just because you leave the bills in the mail box or hide them in that bottom desk drawer under all those other things you hope to forget.
