What takes marker off a 3 year olds face?

Do you remember the episode of Friends where Rachel ends up with a Sharpie Marker mustache on her face, well this was a hundred times worse.

I wish I had a picture to show of Mikey with NAVY Blue marker on his face. The battery in the digital camera was dead and I missed a priceless picture (as usual).

So, my question: What takes "Paper Mate" Flair pen marker off a three year old child's face?

I was attempting to write a new hub (attempting is always the key word around here) and Mikey was coloring at the table where I had apparently left a flair marker. The next thing I knew I looked over to see him with blue lines all over his face. What I thought was: @#$%^!@! What I said was: Oh Mikey! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! I plucked him off the seat and began to inspect the damage. Yep, blue flair marker on the face, on the hands and up his arms. You would think I would learn by now not to leave pens around the house after the red Elmo incident last week; but alas, I have not. Off to the sink we went to scrub with soap and water which did absolutely nothing. I tried dish detergent--no good. I tried a little bit of nail polish remover on his palms (not on the face of course) and that didn't even take it off. Back to the soap and water with a wash cloth again, nope, not helping. I remembered that the kids temporary tatoos say to use alchohol or baby oil on the tatoos to remove them so I tried that on his hands; the alchohol worked on the fresher ink but had no effect on most of it. The baby oil did nothing. Next it was into the tub with a ton of bubbles where he soaked for about 20 minutes which did quite a good job on the hands and arms, but not much for his face because I couldn't soak that. Ultimately, he came out of the tub looking a lot less blue and lot more pruney, except for his face which although I got it lighter, he still has a blue mustache and some stray lines down his cheeks. I am hoping another soak tonight will take off the rest of the ink. In answer to my own question: What takes ink off a child's face? In this case, apparently nothing but time and a few baths. Parents, make sure you don't have any non-washable markers laying around, its really embarassing walking around with a 3 year old that has a blue mustache. If anyone has any suggestions on alternative remedies, Please let me know. God Bless.
