Over the past 2 weeks I have encountered a few things that could / should have changed my life. I was admitted to the hospital on the evening of Labor Day with chest pain and an abnormal EKG. I was in ICU with a Heparin Drip to try and dissolve any clots that may have been in or near my heart. I stayed in this hospital until Wednesday morning and then transferred to a bigger hospital for a heart catherization. I under went the cardiac cath and everything is good.

I also had scheduled an appointment with a gastroenterologist for an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy which was performed on 9-9-08. As you guys may be aware the prep for these tests is really a pain in the buttocks. I had been really scared and worried. I am thirty four , having trouble with GERD and rectal bleeding. On the morning of the procedure, I came home after dropping my children off at daycare to catch their ride to school, and settled into my Grandmother's chair. I put her throw across the lower part of my legs and got really comfortable. I drifted off to sleep. I could still hear the television playing , but I was also dreaming. My Grandmother came to me as I was sleeping , to let me know that the testing that I was about to go through was going to be okay. My Grandmother passed away in March of this year, after losing her battle with Leukemia. It was an absolute awesome feeling to wake from my nap and know that I should have NO FEAR.

I went on with the procedure as scheduled; and what do you know? She was right. I am going to be just fine. The doctor did take a couple of biopsies to rule out H. Pylori infection in my stomach. It was just a great feeling to see my Granny again , knowing that she is still watching over me, how AWESOME is that?
