A Warm Welcome to Sarah Palin as a Member of HubPages!
67
Sarah Palin has joined HubPages, and I couldn’t be more tickled. Her comments are funny, and she’s giving us some very insightful glimpses about what lurks beneath the surface of her fancy updo. I’m her number one fan, and I spend lots of time stalking…um, I mean…following her activity around HubPages. It’s always good for a laugh, and it’s enabled me to gain some valuable inside observations and ideas about her that I’d like to share here.
Observation #1
I recently read a comment written by Sarah that stated, “I’ve taken care of Joe the Plumber.” This can mean just about anything, but I happen to have inside information that the two of them were seen doing ‘the wild thing’ in Wal-Mart. After asking her about this, her reply to me was, “I don’t remember.” That pretty much means YES. Also, I’ve recently been informed that she was overheard calling Joe by another name…”Joe the Pumper.”
Observation #2
I'm sure you've noticed that huge fish Sarah’s holding in her avatar picture. The last time that fish was spotted, it was in Obama’s bed. We all know what it means to find a dead fish in your bed. While there's no proof that Sarah had anything to do with this, it’s also highly suspicious that she was overheard saying, “Let’s see him put lipstick on that sucker.”
Observation #3
She might be a robot. I first learned about this at B.T. Evilpants’ hub. One thing that makes me suspicious of this is how her answers to questions seem to be previously recorded and selected at random resulting in her giving an answer that at times has nothing to do with the question. Another possible clue is the fact that Sarah hasn’t actually written any hubs. If she is a robot, then perhaps her creator hasn’t had time to program her for hub writing. Of course, this could all be coincidence, and I haven't decided one way or the other about her being a robot.
Update! Strike that last clue...she has published a hub: The Bridge to HubPages
Now don’t misunderstand my intentions here, I admire Sarah. Any woman who can go from cheering for her kids at a hockey game with other hockey moms, stop off to buy diapers at Wal-Mart, then scout out moose from a helicopter and still manage to make time to run for Vice President is magnificent in my book. Plus her way with words is simply, well, there are no words to describe her way with words. I can only give a couple of personal examples, and please keep in mind that she talks very differently from how she writes.
First Question and Answer
I saw Sarah at Wal-Mart shortly after the election, and she made herself very approachable although she seemed a bit frustrated about not being able to find any moose jerky. Even though she was clearly distracted, I couldn’t resist asking her the following question:
“It’s rumored that you had something to do with having that big fish put in Obama’s bed. Is this true?”
Her friendly reply was:
“Well, ya know, those big ole fish are probably the whole darned cause of global warmin’ but I don’t wanna talk about that issue because nobody really knows what causes the globe to warm like that except some a those activist, brainy types who wouldn’t know how ta sell a darned thing on eBay which is what really matters in the big picture of this big ole global warming world of ours like those cute little towns or countries or whatever you call those places where people talk another language.”
Second Question and Answer
Before letting go of her arm so she could leave, I was able to ask one more question:
“What are your plans now that the election is over Sarah?”
She was kind enough to take another moment to say, “Main street, Wall Street, curvy streets, dead end streets, streets to nowhere…I don’t really know the difference, but I’m gonna be workin’ on that when I’m not huntin’, fishin’, governin’, and bossin’ Todd around because the backbone of this fine country of ours is workin’ moms, hockey moms, pit bulls and other common stuff that makes people get their gosh darned hands dirty so they keep on thinkin’ about stuff and wishin’ for stuff and then thinkin’ about more stuff.”
That is so profound. I need to take pause for a moment.
Okay.
It has crossed my mind that Sarah could be joining communities like HubPages as a way to gain popularity and potential votes down the road. On the other hand, my surveillance of her hubtivity is showing she has an interest in shopping and fashion. I spotted her at one hub shopping for sexy Christmas outfits, and then at another hub shopping for rain boots. Very interesting stuff here. I think someone's gonna get lucky this year on Christmas day.
No matter what her reasons are, I am thrilled she's here, and I welcome her!
Men can't resist Sarah

Thanks for visiting here allshookup. :) It'll be interesting to see if she does run in the next election. Hang on to that shirt. ;)
Oh, I did visit your Joe hub, and I loved it, but I didn't make the "Sarah" comment. ;) Sorry if there's any confusion.
Thanks, for the hublove, Pam. I worked really hard at putting all those words in her mouth. Now if I could only shut the damned thing down!
I didn't mean you wrote it, I just figured you read it since you said you read the comment and it was on my hub. Sorry I didn't word that well :/
And yeah buddy! Got my SARAH! Shirt :)
LOL B.T.! And you're welcome. :)
Thanks for letting me know allshookup! It's not your wording that messed me up, it was my own brain. ;)
Oh! You are so gosh darned right on that there one, Pam. No doubt about it. Someone is gonna get real, real lucky on Christmas Day. And that is all the people who believe in Jesus. In fact, I'm sending out a big shout out to the Wasilla Universal Bible Church and Moose Hunting Club right now. Butcha know, there's another somebody who we all know is gonna get lucky on Christmas and that's one Mr. Todd Palin. *wink*
ROFL MM, you're too funny! :D
Darn, why didn't I think of "Butcha?" That's a good one. :)
Your Sarah-speak is perfect! I found it harder to do that it looks, so kudos to you. Like you, I look forward to reading more from Mrs. Palin on HP. I plan to stalk (oops, I mean "follow") her too!!!
MightyMOM- I like that folksy word butcha...LOL
I was wondering since she has close relations with Russia can she influence Putin to solve the present crisis in Georgia over the Christmas holidays. I know for a fact that the Pakistani leader Zardari was heavily impressed with her. She sure can have quite an effect on men.
Pam- I don't believe one word of that thing about she being a Robot. Robots are supposed to be highly intelligent and programmable to behave as per instructions. You are affecting the sensibilities of many robots and better patch up with the robotic community quickly (later don't tell us that we didn't warn you)...hehe
I would also like to send out good thoughts to her church. Those firebombs did over a million dollars worth of damage to the buildings. Very sad that someone would do that.
This was a good laught tonight thank you. Your insights to her hub presence is wonderful and very deep. Thank you. :)
TY MM :)
CW...TY for the warning! You make an excellent point about robots being highly intelligent. Hmm, but aren't robots only as intelligent as the people who program them? ;) lol! Still, I give my apology to the entire computer/robot community. ;) I didn't realize she had such a huge impact on men. Does that Pakistani leader who was so taken by her speak English or have a reliable translator? ;) I'm just kidding! :)
ASU, I didn't hear about that. :( I haven't watched the news in weeks. Her church was bombed?
RGraf, thank you, and I'm so happy if it made you laugh because that was the big plan. :)
Pam- Of course intelligent people like Pam Roberson program those Robots and I was just hoping one of those doesn't get offended (turn into a frankenstein monster). Now coming to your question about language (does love need a "language"?). See the "body language" and figure it out yourself....LOL
Yes, her church was firebombed this weekend. There were several people inside when they did it, including several children. They put flamable liquids at all of the exits on the outside of the doors and lit them too. Thankfully rescuers got everyone out, as far as I know. I don't think they have caught who did it yet. But the church is devastated. Over 1 million dollars is a lot of damage for a church that size.
You know, I really don't like to kick a dead (or wounded) moose, but I feel compelled to share this. I have been reading recently that Sarah Palin hired a Public Relations firm back in 2007 to help put her on the radar screen for the GOP ticket nomination. Now, given that, and given what I know of PR agencies (having worked at several), I wonder if what we're seeing here on HP is not even Sarah Palin at all, but some PR flak/ghostwriter cleverly crafting Mrs. Palin's comments on her behalf... I mean really, dontcha think she's got more important things to do as governor of Alaska than spend time hubbing with us? What would her motive be? I don't know about you, but I'm no Joe the Plumber (or Pumper). I'm not a hockey mom and I don't even hunt. Most of the folks I've met here on HP would appear to have little in common with her. But maybe that's the point. Maybe the joke's on us! Sarah Palin is using HP as a brilliant social media strategy to infiltrate us "irregular" (for lack of a better word) folks.
CW! You are priceless! I love that video and I'm going to add it to this hub. :) Oh, and I noticed how the language of love is very silent! Lots of heafty hand shaking though. Wow! :D LOL! Frankenstein monster...yes, I think we need to talk to B.T. about that. ;)
ASU, thank you for filling me in. That is so incredibly sad. :( Thank goodness they were able to rescue those in the church.
MM, you're absolutely right about that profile not really being Sarah. I know who it is, but I won't be the one to reveal her cover, and I'm pretty sure she's doing it for the sake of humor which is why I'm playing off of it here. ;) You're a very intuitive cookie. Or maybe you're making a joke and I totally missed the boat! Sorry if that's the case. It's my bedtime and I'm turning brain dead. ;)
Gosh I'm gonna have to start making notes of your comments so that I don't forget these great words you're coming up with...dontcha and butcha. LOL! Nice!
I was a baseball mom, and I don't hunt either. ;) lol!
I just wanna say I appreciate the warm welcome. t seems some aren't was warm as others. Don't worry. I'll grow on ya!!!
I'm humbled by your visit. :) You do have a way of growing on people, and I'm sure if hubpages doesn't pan out for you (although I think it already has), then there's a very excited Pakistani leader, Zardari, who seems to be chomping at the bit to see way more of you. ;) lol!
Thanks for dropping in. :)
Who's SArah Palin?
Hi Bruce...All I can say is that it's not me. I wish it was me, because it's very funny, but someone else thought of it first. Darnitall! :) It's just as well because I wouldn't have done as good of a job.
Thanks for coming in to read Bruce. :)
Perhaps Bruce meant his question literally... it's possible that some people might not be as familiar with the Wasilla Wonder as we are.
Bruce -- stick around! I have a feeling we'll be seeing/hearing more from her here on HP. You betcha!
AH MM! I didn't think of that. Thank you and good point, and I think you're right because I just looked at his profile and he's from Canada. :)
Bruce, I'm sorry to have misunderstood. The real Sarah Palin was chosen to run for Vice President of the U.S. by John McCain. They lost in the recent election.
Thanks for that compliment. Btw did you get a chance to talk to BT about the Frankenstein monster?
It seems that sarah-speak is perfect! I found it harder to do that it looks, so kudos to you. Like you, I look forward to reading more from Mrs. Palin on HP. I plan to stalk (oops, I mean "follow") her too!!
CW, I'm still trying to think of a tactful way to approach him about his monster. lol! You're the hub diplomat, perhaps you can give me some ideas. Better yet, maybe we can make it a joint effort. ;) Oh, and thank you for sharing that video!
Sandhyap, thank you! And thanks for stopping in to read. Maybe we can exchange stalking notes. lol! ;)
What were you doing in Obama's bedroom?
C.S., that's a good question!
Um, it's like this...er...well, I think I read about the fish incident in the Enquirer. Yea, that's the ticket, I read about it in a highly acclaimed reliable news source. ;)
Pam- I would love to be a hub diplomat but when it concerns top national affairs and to deal with likes of Sarah Palin we need to have Tina Fey on board. Her track record is excellent(i.e., SNL)
LOL CW! Tina Fey is marvelous! I'll see what I can do about that. We can't approach a jackalope without the support of people like Tina. He's quite diabolical, fluffy, and dangerously funny. :D
And...I appreciate you being so humble. But I've seen you smooth the waters of trouble many times with your logic and warm soul. You're quite the diplomat. :)
I maybe able to weather troubled waters since I know when to be a diplomat and when to be a doormat...LOL
Just for the record and for those who don't know. I am the next president of the United States to be elected in the year 2012.
Thanks for posting that memo here! :)
She is not the real Sarah Palin though, it is a joke profile lol.
Hi SweetiePie, yes the profile is a joke, and I took advantage of it because I thought it was so funny. lol! ;) I'm so bad! lol! :D
Pam--this is fantastic! Thanks for the laugh. :)
Hi Melissa! Thank you! I couldn't resist having and hopefully giving a few chuckles over this. ;)
Pam, this was hilarious... and look'it that, she even came to your hub.... go Palin... lol... lordie... lord.
LOL, thanks Mellas. :D It's too much fun making fun about this. ;)

Thanks for visiting my hub about Joe, Pam. I appreciate it. I just wanted to say I'm for Sarah all the way to the White House! I should post a pic of me in my SARAH! shirt on here. I am still wearing it. Getting people ready for the next Presidential election.
