For so long, I had a passion for animals. Not just dogs and cats, but for all of God's creations. When I see an animal being abused, it just sickens me. How can people do this? What did that poor animal do to deserve such treatment? Do you honestly think that God created these magnificent creatures just to be abused, or in some cases killed? Thousands of animals everywhere are being killed, even as you're reading this. Okay, before anyone stats their opinion, let me stat mine. Even though, I am against animal cruelty, I'm not completely ruling out the other side. But how can you be against animal cruelty, if you don't rule out the other side? Yes, I love animals, and yes, I wouldn't do these things. That's me! Like I said, I've always had a passion for animals, and when people do these violent acts unto animals, it does indeed sicken me. But again, that's just me. The statement is totally my opinion, and no one else's. Animal lovers I do back you up, and I do believe we should try to make a difference.

     Now the other side, I'm not completely ruling you out because I know that there are times when a situation calls upon harm to an animal. What? I thought you were against animal cruelty? I am, but let me explain. Here's an example of one of those times. A little girl and her dad are walking down the side walk, when all of a sudden a dog jumps in front of them. Growling, and showing his massive white teeth, the dog then proceeds to attack the little girl, pulling the little girl to the ground below. The girl cries out in horror, as she struggles against the dog's bites. A frantic dad looks around for something, anything that can stop the deranged animal. Finally, he spots a baseball bat in the lawn next to him. Gripping the bat with all his might, and careful not to hit his little girl, he lets the dog have it. One hit, then two, and another, until the dog looks like a bloody heap on the side walk, next to the disfigured little girl. The man feels terrible for killing the dog that attacked his daughter, but like any of us, he was just protecting his little girl. The little girl is fine, a little shaken up, and had to endure a lot since the attack, but will be herself in no time.

      Even though, it meant killing an animal, we all would have done the same thing. That man shouldn't have been called an animal abuser. He only did what he did to save his daughter. If any of us, animal lover or not were in that same situation, I think that is one act of animal cruelty that shouldn't count. Some of us probably wouldn't go that far as to kill the animal, but most of us will be willing to do whatever it takes, to see that our loved one is safe. But I do believe killing an animal just for your pleasure is ridcolus. It's uncalled for, and sick. Why would anyone take pleasure in seeing these precious animals suffer? It's one thing to harm or kill an animal for protection, but do it for no reason whatsoever, or for something as stupid as fur... it's down right cruel, and yes, you should be punished. Animal cruelty is wrong, and should not be tolerated. God gave us a heart, so why don't we use it? Can you honestly tell me, by reading this and seeing these images... that animal cruelty isn't wrong?
