A4e Pathways has now launched in Brighton.

The Mayor, Councillor Garry Peltzer Dunn, Hove MP Celia Barlow, A4e staff and clients, and local charities gathered at A4e Pathways on Queen’s Road, Brighton to launch the scheme, and see how it is helping locals on incapacity benefit back into work.

Pathways to Work is a free service providing support for individuals on health-related benefits to get back into employment by tackling barriers, providing training, and raising confidence and self esteem.

Denise Leander, District Manager for A4e in Surrey and Sussex said:

“Pathways is a successful in helping individuals claiming health-related benefit back into employment. It is increasingly important that support services such as this are made available to the people of Brighton during this time of recession.

“Pathways has helped over 100,000 people into work across the UK, with over 200 coming from Surrey and Sussex. This shows that if the right support and information is available, people can be better off financially as a result of getting back to work.”

Denise continued:

“A4e Pathways are committed to ensuring this support reaches as many people as possible.'

The day included competitions in the local press, and local radio station Juice FM broadcast live outside the Pathways office.

DJ ‘Jonsey’ brought the ‘Juicy Crew’ to offer people the chance to win a healthy prizes like spa treatments and meals.
