AFFILIATE PROGRAMS -- Can Money Be Made with Affiliate Programs? A Meditation on Making Money with Affiliate Programs.

The easiest way in my mind to make money online is to follow the following formula:

1) Go to Blogger.com and open an account

2) Go to Clickbank.com and choose some affiliate programs centered around one topic

3) Go to free article sites (look this up on Google), and post the copyright-free articles related to the topic you have chosen into your Blogger site.

4) Put links throughout the site pointing to the affiliate programs you are signed up to at Clickbank.

5) Go to "Layout" in the Blogger account, go to Add Page Elements, and add three Adsense blocks (the maximum Adsense allows on any one page)

6) Sign up to Addthis and submit your new blog to the sites it lists there.

Affiliate programs are sites that sell products that can be bought online.

When you sign up to become an affiliate, you are given your own site to promote the product through.

Every time someone makes a purchase, you get anywhere from 5 to 50% of the income from that purchase.

That depends.

Affiliate program marketing requires you to have some knowledge of how to build a website (extremely easy, comparatively speaking, at Blogger.com . Take advantage of their tutorials. TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN HOW TO USE BLOGGER AND ALL OF ITS MANY TOOLS -- THIS WILL BE INVALUABLE TO YOU DOWN THE ROAD).

Affiliate program promotion also requires you to know how to get traffic. For a great traffic-getting tutorial (50 videos) check out MICHAEL CHENEY'S TRAFFIC VIDEO SERIES.

In the meantime, you can use the following traffic-getting skills:

- Go to Addthis and sign up. Then check out the top of the page, where there is a button like Submit or AddThis (I forget now). There you will see a list of social bookmarking sites (check out also socialmarker.com for another list of similar and sometimes overlapping sites). Sign up for as many of these as possible. Then submit your Blogger blog to as many of these sites as you can.

So, to recap, YOU WILL NEED LOTS OF TIME TO FIGURE OUT BLOGGER.COM AND LOTS OF TIME TO FIGURE OUT THE SOCIAL BOOKMARKING SITES, BUT IT WILL BE WORTH IT IN THE END.

Once you figure Blogger out, and once you figure out Social Bookmarking THEN YOU CAN REPEAT THE PROCESS AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT, FOR AS MANY TOPICS AS YOU WANT.

Then go through the steps I describe (open a blogger account, go to free article sites and take freely available articles on the topic and post them on your blog, take the affiliate links you have signed up to and paste them into your blog, throughout the text -- for an example of how I have done this using the topic of affiliate programs itself (confusingly!) as an example, see here MY ILLUSTRATION OF HOW TO PLACE LINKS THROUGH THE TEXT OF A BLOGGER BLOG ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC -- IN THIS CASE THE TOPIC ITSELF BEING AFFILIATE MARKETING , and then use social bookmarking services like Addthis and Socialmarker.com to promote your blog ).

NOW, once you are satisfied with this, Project Number One, go back to Clickbank (check out also CJ.com, though commissions can be quite a lot lower at that site, so you need to compare programs), and choose another topic, let's say gardening, AND DO EXACTLY THE SAME THING AGAIN.

Hopefully you can see the beauty of this method.

Once you get the knack there are endless niches to be exploited.

In short, this method works.

If you are willing to go through the fiddly frustration of learning to use Blogger, Addthis, Socialmarker, ezinearticles and other article sites, and Clickbank (or CJ.com) then, once you have mastered these tools, the technique can be repeated over and over.

This then, is a basic blueprint that can make you money with next-to-know investment (arguably even no investment financially, though at times you can save a lot of time with supplementary advice products).
