Alcoholism Can Change A Person
ALCOHOLISM Can Change Everything About You As A Person If You Do Not Get Help
Many of you who have gone through recovering from alcoholism or have known someone who is struggling with alcoholism knows how difficult it can be on everyone involved and you also know that alcoholism can change everything about you as a person if you do not get the help that you need. Alcoholism has destroyed many wonderful families and it can happen to you too, if you do not seek support and get the proper treatment that is available for you, if you just take that step. When a person drinks excessively over a period of time, it tends to change your personality, your appearance, your attitude toward everyone and mentally and physically there will be noticeable changes that occur because of alcoholism. It can change someone who would normally be nice, into a horrible, non caring person, that nobody wants to be around. You can lose many good friends and even family members because of your excessive drinking.
Many of the reasons that a person allows themselves to become addicted to alcohol or are suffering from alcoholism are things such as, depression, anxiety, loss of self control and peer pressure. The different things that they tend to do are things such as, isolating themselves from people they love, lying about their drinking habits, needing more and more alcohol every time they drink, having black out spells from drinking too much, daily routines tend to go down the drain and not being able to feel like yourself unless you get drunk. There are so many changes in a person that if you would pay close attention, you will have the ability to recognize some of these many different things that change with someone suffering from alcohol dependency or alcoholism. It is important to pay attention to these types of things, when it involves someone that you care about because without your support and love, they may not ever seek the professional help or treatments that they will need, in order to recover from such a dependency.
For someone addicted to alcohol, they gain such an enormous adrenaline rush from drinking alcohol that they need that feeling all of the time and without it, they suffer from serious withdrawal symptoms sometimes. There has been an actual chemical imbalance created from the alcohol consumption over a period of time, that they body does not know how to respond properly, without the same level of alcohol that it has been used to having daily. This is why so many people suffering from alcoholism have to get treatment and care from a facility that specializes in things like this, with proper medical staff on hand, in case of any severe reactions by just being cut off from alcohol completely. It will pass but it is important to have professionals on hand, that know how to properly treat these symptoms, that can be very difficult and painful for the alcoholic.
Binge Drinking Can Lead To Alcoholism If You Do Not Stop Now!
Binge drinking can not only lead to alcoholism but could also in some instances lead to death! If you are not aware about the dangers involved from binge drinking you need to pay close attention to this. Binge drinking usually occurs when you are in your teens or twenties, however, it can sometime begin much earlier on. So many people just do not realize how serious binge drinking is and all of the risks involved with it. They just think they are having a good time and enjoying a good buzz with their friends. Many times people die from binge drinking, they could easily get alcohol poisoning, which can literally shut down some of your internal organs, including stopping your heart. Do not end up being a statistic, get help for controlling yourself and stop the binge drinking before it kills you and destroys your family.
It does not matter if you are rich or poor, high class or low class, nobody is completely safe from the risks involved with binge drinking. It is important that parents also become more knowledgeable about the risks involved when their kids go out to parties or start college and really begin attending many social events, where binge drinking is involved. Peer pressure can cause anyone to consider binge drinking with friends, no matter how they were raised and taught not to do it. Talk to your kids about it when they are young and all through their teenage years, keep a close on on them and know who they are hanging out with and where they are going, when they tell you they are going to spend the night at a "friends" house. I am not saying snoop through their things or spy on them in any way, I am just saying, ask more questions, communicate more with your children. Anything you can do to try and instill in them the risks involved with drinking alcohol could possibly prevent them from becoming an alcoholic and suffering because of it.
Alcoholism is a result from binge drinking or drinking too often and too much. Not only are there many risks involved health wise from drinking alcohol, there are many other risks as well. Many people choose to drink and drive and we know the statistics on that, it is heartbreaking. Others may binge drink and end up sleeping with everyone at the party, increasing their chances of getting life threatening diseases and ruining their reputations at an early age, leaving them feeling ashamed and disgusted, but once it is done there is no undoing it. A life full of alcohol is just a nightmare waiting to happen and if you do not change, it could cost you your life and destroy your family during all of it. The sadness and pain that you cause your family can sometimes be unforgivable, some relationships can not be fixed, if you do not atleast attempt to get help.

Without the participation of the alcohol addict himself, treatment is impossible. Realization plays a majority part in the rehabilitation process.
