Its a known fact that AR Rahman is a trend setter for music industry. After Ilayaraja, its AR Rahman who captured trillions of music lovers. And also he is the only one from india, who made the entire world turn at him for his marvellous music. His music has become a Class brand around the globe.
For the past few years, Rahman doesn't compose much tamil albums as he was busy with english and hindi. Meanwhile entered another genius who has same style of Rahman in composing music. He is none other than Harris Jeyaraj, who was working with AR Rahman as a keyboardist in 1999 for a period of one year. His debut tamil album Minnalae worked out well and his music is also well received by audience. Now he has become the second choice for all directors and producers, if they cannot get arrahman compose for them. Its because even harris can give quality music like ar rahman.
Now we have a healthy competition between these two. Harris has come with sathyam and dhaam dhoom songs and ar rahman with sakkarakatti. Sathyam songs are just average, but dhaam dhoom songs are simply superb. Ar rahmans sakkarakatti songs are just rocking.
Both the movies are also to be released simultaneously. Letz see which is gonna win? Guru or trainee?

yuwan seems far batter than harris , and i still wonder why people would dare to compare ARR with Freak harris , the man who is always stick with same tune and raaga each and every song he compose is a copy of ARR offers , westerns . also he lacks the varity if you listen his first album minnale , thats it ' its all you got with in every films he work . where else ARR do i need to say about him ? simlpy superb
Harris jayaraj's first project was mudal kanavu and not minnale... but vaseegara brought him instant fame
Harris Jayaraj is one of my favourate composer.He produced a number of beautiful melodies with a classic western touch. Comparing him with ARR is too early now. He has to travel a long way to reach with ARR. We can start compare only after Haris can
able to compose songs in the class like- Varaaga nadikkarayoram, Quaja mere Qwaja, Manmohana, Dil Gira, Kaise Mujhe, Jane tu mera Kya hai, Mujhe rang De, Songs of Rang de Basanti, lagaan,Jhoola Baahonka, Taram pam pam, Kismat se hum tumse mile ge, Ae Ajnabi, Chayya Chayya, Barso re Megha Megha, Songs of kandu konden Kandu konden, Enswasakkate, etc.etc. See the veraities of songs he compossed.Songs are entirely different with its classic touch. But HJ's songs are mind blowing but having same look.So let him break the shell and produce more veraities of songs first. Then we sart compare. It is time to compare ARR with IR.
Pls dont compare harris with Rehmaan. Rehmaan is a genius. Harris is a great great copy cat. pls go to youtube and type 'Harris + copy cat'. You can know who is harris jeyaraj. And yuvan is good , best in copying than harris. Rehmaan is the symbol of indian music. I am not Rehmaan fan. I am a lover of real and creative work. i saw all the above commends,my friends dn't tell tht harris is a copy cat,in fact a.r rahman has also copied lot of tunes from the great music director,"viswanathan"the melodies tht harris is giving to us is just excellent,ullam kelkkume,ghajini,bheema,dhaam dhoom,vaaranam ayiram etc etc........& it will go on like anything,friends take my word,in the coming yaers also harris is going to rock.......we all love u harris,waiting for aadhavan songs...........

wat i like in harris s dat, we can listen to his music with full confidence dat it would be superb........dis u can't expect 4m anyother music director except arr....some are saying dat harris has copied the juneponal(unnallae) tune, may be but not completly, only 2 some extent.....he has put his own composings in dat song nd has made it a superhit song nd has made v people 2 njoy......if he wouldn,t have done dat, den we wouldn,t have enjoyed a good music.........
harris is a legendary music director ...

You are right. Actually what harris jayaraj does is takes from the best australian rock bands like AC/DC and poor Indians don't listen to much of those old english class songs.
But he can't escape from people like us.

See we are giving money to get a CD. i buy only original CDs No pirated goos. If we are spending money there should be something worth. If harris is giving only copied tunes, then we can buy those original albums. y to waste money.
