85From the years of previous decades people of India and other parts of the world have been in the belief of using precious and semi-precious stones to cure some diseases and mental disorders and also to change and improve their life conditions. Astrologers are telling that planets of our solar system represent different gemstones according to their properties. They are also telling that radiant forces from every planet will make particular effect to the persons with respect to their Zodiac sign and position of planets in their horoscope. If the effect is desirable one there will be nothing to worry. But when some thing go wrong with our living conditions, it is advised by the astrologers that the affected persons have to wear the ring or ornaments made up of gemstones which suits their zodiac sign and the position of the planets in their horoscope.
Most of the astrologers are advising the beliefers to wear atleast a small ring made up of the suitable gemstones. Experts are saying when a person is having the body touch with a suitable gemstone in the form of ring, he need not bother about negative power or tribulations from the planets. In other words wearing of those things act as a guard or guide to lead a peaceful life. The planets which are giving tribulations to the mankind because of their unfavorable positions in a horoscope are called as malefic planets. When people wear the rings or ornaments made of gemstones which are associated with those malefic planets, they can easily come out of tribulations because of the divine power of the gemstones.
Though this kind of belief seems nonsense and ridiculous, the economical prices of gemstones stimulate some people to have a trial of making some favorable changes in their life by wearing gemstones which suit their astrological conditions. The people not interested in wearing the rings and ornaments simply keep the gemstones in their personal locker or on the other safer place from where they can have a frequent visible contact of these gemstones.
Importance of planet GODS in Hinduism
In Hinduism it is said and believed that planets are spiritual things which are governed, employed and controlled by the supreme Gods such as God Eswar,God Visnu and God Muruga. Auspicious planets like Jupiter, Venus and Mercury are giving destrable effects in the life of mankind whereas the planets in the malefic positions are giving failure in all manners. Faithful worshipping of malefic planets and auspicious planets will reduce or completely avoid our sufferings. The faithful worshipping of malefic planets is the way of coming out of tribulations other than the wearing of gems associated with those planets.
Nine precious and semi-precious stones associated with nine planets are called as navratnas in India. Here nav means nine and ratnas mean gems.They can be written as follows.
Ruby , Pearl , Coral, Emerald, Yellow sapphire, Diamond, Blue sapphire, Hessonite Garnet and Cat's Eye.
Ruby
It is associated with Sun which is the supreme power of the solar system. The zodiac sign of the sun is Leo (Simha) and numerological number is 1 and element of this planet is fire. Jewelry, Ornaments, Medicines, Electronic goods, Engineering, Architecture, Politics, Photography, Wollen cloths, Coconut and other red colored products are some of the things associated with the Sun. Heart problems, Brain related problems, Eye inflammation and diseases, Sun stroke and Nervous problems are some diseases that can be controlled by the wearing of ruby.
Pearl
It is associated with our home planet's satellite Moon. The pearl is not a mined gemstone. This is biologically formed from the shells of snails in the ocean. The color of the pearl is milky white and numerological number is 2. The element of this planet is water. The Planetary Gemology World is divided into two (2) opposing philosophies, viz., Anukul-vad v/s Pratikul-vad:ANUKULA-VAD: A gem will act "SAME" as it's planet - So gems should be chosen for Anukul (favorable) grahasPRATIKUL-VAD: A gem will act "OPPOSITE" of it's planet - So gems should be chosen for Pratikul (unfavorable) grahasIMPORTANT: AT ASTRAL GEMSTONE TALISMANS WE ONLY BELIEVE IN "ANUKUL-VAD" - A gem will act "SAME" as it's planet - So gems should be chosen for Anukul (favorable) grahasAnukul Planet's gem choosing method for resorting to or harnessing one's auspicious or Anukul planet(s) (exalted, mulatrikona, own sign, benefic, great friend, good house, owner of good house, etc.) based on the concept that lucky planet = lucky gem! In Jyotish there are basically two broad categories of planetary position, viz., favorable (to the chart) - Anukul OR unfavorable (to the chart) - Pratikul. One should avoid their weakness and cultivate their strengths. "Ratna-anukul" means the auspicious gem of strongest most desirable planet. Example: One has Leo Lagna - their lagna lord is Sun, who is exalted (100% strength) and posited in the 9th house which is all very auspicious. That person would be advised to use a fine ruby, the Sun’s gem, to attract or harness his auspicious influence. On the other hand if a person had Saturn debilitated (0% strength) and in the 8th house they would be advised to avoid Saturn’s gem blue sapphire and all other Saturnine things or activities. And better still they could donate a blue sapphire to pacify Shanideva. The followers of Anukul-vad believe that the pratikul-graha color is the unlucky color, and to magnify that bad color will simply increase the problems caused by that unlucky Planet. Both methods believe that gems increase cosmic colors of their planets, thus for an Anukuli it is considered to be suicide to increase a pratikul-graha's color. In Anukul there is never a case where a Pratikul (harmful to the chart/native) planet's gem should be worn as it will surely increase the ill fortune; but such gems for a Pratikul planet can be used by DONATING them - giving them AWAY - according to Shastric directions. A pure anukuli believes that a pratikul-gem is NEVER good to use; it is increasing the cosmic poison, and ill fortune (a person's bad cosmic vibes) should NEVER be increased. Anukul means a planet that is beneficially disposed either by being strong in own sign, good house, ruler of houses which will bring positive results, or otherwise not ill disposed nor inclined to produce evil influence. A planet which is good for the chart either naturally or by house ruler ship yet somewhat weakened by placement may be strengthened through the gem, or a planet which already is strong and giving benefic influence may be further strengthened for gains in particular areas of life by wearing the gem.Pratikul Planet's gem choosing method for strengthening a weak or evil planet, based on the misconception that a 'pratikul' (inauspicious) planet is strengthened by wearing it's gem and there by it changes from being inauspicious (pratikul) to become auspicious (anukul). ILLOGIC: By providing the gem for a malefic planet, benefic results will follow. I was advised to wear a blue sapphire to "pacify" Saturn. After a long search I found a 7 carat flawless, unburned, "Brahmin" colored blue sapphire from Burma. I bought the gem, immediately had it set into a special gold ring, and on Saturday, two hours and forty minutes before sunset, I installed the ring after reciting the appropriate mantras.Almost as soon as I started wearing this most auspicious blue sapphire I began having ill fortune. I started getting frequent headaches and my business started slowing down along with my energy level. Almost everything I did was beset with obstacles. Finally, after using the stone for almost 1 year, I took it off in frustration. Later I had the opportunity to show my birth chart to Pandit Vidyadhar Shukla (the Chief Brahmin Priest of Thailand) who confirmed that Saturn was indeed a "bad influence" for me. He further suggested that as the blue sapphire had made matters worse this was a good case against the theory that gems "pacify" harmful planets. He suggested that I should wear a ruby to "strengthen" the Sun in order to counteract Saturn's harmful influence. Since following this advice I have experienced much better effects on both my heath, business and over-all outlook.*Since Rahu and Ketu are Aprakasha or "shadow planets,"they reflect the qualities of the lord of the sign they occupy. I have bought a navaratna ring which was done in white gold. at the time , when i order it, the astroleger told me to wear it in right hand-ring finger(right hand for male & left hand for female). but unfortunately when i got it done , i feel it is very tight with my right hand thumb. is it possible for me to wear it on my left hand thimb?would there be any side effects?
