Limbaugh Lampooned by Letterman

The GOP Has Been Limbaugh-tomized!
A new word entered the English language this morning in Charles Blow's op-ed in the New York Times--"Limbaugh-tomized." His column is entitled "Three Blind Mice," referring to Limbaugh, Jindal and Steele, the current leaders of the GOP.
Referring to Steele's abject apology for criticizing Limbaugh, Blow comments "The whole sorry episode reeked of the same cowardice that the entire party is showing in the face of this howler, afraid of offending his Limbaugh-tomized minions of the far-far right."
He goes on "the Democrats know the Republicans are afraid to confront and disavow Limbaugh, so they keep poking him, and he keeps snapping like a rabid dog....The past two weeks perfectly illustrate why the Republican ranks are withering--the mindless bickering with the left and spineless groveling to the right...The future of the GOP is in the hands of some mighty small men. Jindal should bring back Mickey Mouse ears for them all. It'd be suitable."

Limbaugh on Letterman
Rush Limbaugh's Big Fat Mistake
Rush Limbaugh may have just made the biggest mistake yesterday in this election campaign when he claimed Michael J. Fox was faking or exaggerating the effects of Parkinson's in a TV ad advocating stem cell research on behalf of Claire McCaskill, Senator Jim Talent's opponent in the Missouri Senate campaign. Limbaugh mocked Fox's Parkinson's symptons.
Limbaugh may just have sunk Talent's ship in the very close campaign. Today Limbaugh backed off a bit but but didn't apologize and repeated his tasteless charge. Moreover, others have pointed out that Michael J. Fox made a similar election commerical for Republican Senator Arlen Specter in the last election. Specter supports embryonic stem cell research.save
[McCaskill defeated Talent and is now Senator McCaskill.]

Very true. But he has a huge audience. I wonder what this says about our country and a lot Americans. Not very encouraging.
what you just said
If you haven't read "Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot," by Al Franken I guarantee that you will like it. I did!
I've been meaning to read it. I'm an Al Franken fan.
That's a great one, Wiz!
Thanks Ralph, here's another more sinister one . . .
Thanks, Wizard!
LIMBAUGH IS INNATELY OFFENSIVE
New Majority: In a round-up of comments by women on “Why Do Women Dislike Talk Radio,” Danielle Crittenden says it’s the men:
For a long time I listened to Rush: I enjoyed his intelligent criticism of liberal policies; his bracing energy; his sense of humor. If I was in the car long enough, Rush would bleed into Hannity and others, and I’d listen to them too. However, over the past few years, I found myself joining the female majority and changing stations when these shows came on. At first I thought I was doing so because, as a mother of three, I didn’t need another person in the car yelling at me. Then, when I’d force myself to listen, I felt like I was trapped in an elevator with someone whose ego squished me up against the doors: when they weren’t boasting about their moral courage or superior worldviews, they seemed to take everything that was happening politically as a personal slight–or achievement. . . .
But maybe this type of personality is just innately more off-putting to women. As women, we know this type of man. We may have dated this type of man. Lord knows, we may have married and divorced this type of man. But however we may have come across him we know this much: We want to get to our floor and leave the elevator as quickly as possible.
I'm Sorry, Rush
(An all-purpose apology for Republicans--sung, abjectly, to the tune of "Who's Sorry Now?"
I'm sorry, Rush.
It makes me blush,
Thinking of how come I just didn't hush.
I was a rat
Saying you're fat.
You're not as fat as all that.
Rush, I repent.
My words were bent.
"Rush is a racist" is not what I meant.
"Rush is well bred,"
I would have said.
"Addict" just slipped out instead.
You wear the crown
With great renown.
I didn't mean to imply you're a clown.
My brain was mush.
If I may gush,
You're godlike. I'm sorry, Rush.

Fats Limbaugh is as slovenly stupid as he is fat. This nut is dangerous and so dumb it is unreal that idiots listen to his diatribe

Rush is a joke, and a hypocrite. Here's just one example:
"Marriage is about raising children. That's the purpose of the institution." (July 31, 2003) Rush has been married three times and has no kids.
