Here is an excerpt from a news story that ran on WorldNetDaily.com:
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The latest Republican presidential debate takes place here tonight, but all four of what some in the national news media call the "top-tier candidates" will not be on the stage. Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson have all chosen not to participate in the Values Voter Debate being moderated by WND Editor Joseph Farah. "Isn't it amazing they all have more important things to do to get elected president than to meet face to face with Christian and Jewish leaders who represent millions and millions of votes?" asked Farah who called them "gutless wonders" in a column previewing tonight's event "I tell you it is gut-wrenching fear that kept them away. They are scared to death of the questions. They're scared to death they won't have a good answer. They're scared to death they might say something they will live to regret."

This is really interesting. It would be well worth hearing this debate. Too bad about the so called "top tier" media darlings. (Did you hear about Mit Romney's $600 makeup expenses? Oh, yeah he's really going to limit government spending. He's truly got a clear focus on what constitutes everyday American "values"!)
I think there is a wider and wider gap between the "compromise" republican party and the truly conservative "libertarian" or "Constitutional" republican party. Its my guess that more American's would come down on the conservative "Constitutional" republican side than the "compromise" republican side if they were actually given the choice.
Sadly, the American media will only give America the compromisers because they're no different than the other guys or perhaps I should say "gal". Anyway, this is why I hate American politics. I think its sad that we are no longer free to elect men that are strong enough and uncompromising enough to stand for something.
If only by some miracle the American public could catch wind of what the true Republican conservatives like Ron Paul are saying. There would be a revolution. I think most American's are sick to death of stand for nothing, save myself, protect the "system",public "leech" psuedo-servants, that run for office in either the republican or democatic party.
The average American understands ,and is put off, by the fact that none of the current field of "top teir" candidates, Republican and Democrat alike, would do anything because it is right, legal, and constitutional. No, the only mooring they have are the latest polls. They have no true north. No bedrock bottom line when it comes to right and wrong. Their actions, ideas and values change conveniently to reflect whatever group or cause they happen to be courting at the time. They stand for and stand on nothing.
Not so for the neo-Republicans, the Constitutional Republicans like Ron Paul. It's pure and simple and rational, constitutionalism. So, much of what is wrong with our nation today would simply disappear if we would operate under or within the framework of the Constitution.
My guess is that even liberal democrats would welcome a swing to the right if it meant landing on solid ground. If we centered our public policy on the constitution and protected it somehow from a revisionists judicial system we could conceivably survive and even possibly prosper as a nation.
Unfortunately, the media tells American's what to think and what to think about and the media are not about to lean toward sanity and reason. Their position and existence would be instantly invalidated by a thinking, reasoning public. Okay, so I'm becoming cynical so I'll hush now, but I wonder if its possible that we are witnessing the birthing of a new, truly conservative, constitutional/republican party.

I say this with all seriousness. The country will probably disintegrate and be carved up the Chinese if Ron Paul does not win. It will take time, but we are on the road to perdition.America needs Ron Paul more than ever, and everyone who supports Ron Paul loves him as he is the closest thing to family we have ever seen in government.Ron Paul, for what is just, what is right, and what is our Nation's root modus, the Constitution and Freedom and Liberty for All.
