I came across a well written article by Vicenta Mendoza Escobar, Pharm.D. on the above subject As a way of sharing its helpful contents and its implication to the modern fight with the Big C I would like to cite some of the discovery related to the the treatment of cancer.

According to data, in the 1800's one in 33 people had cancer in the United States. By the 1900's one in three people developed cancer in the United States, where it is now the 2nd leading cause of death among children from being the 10th leading cause of death in children in the early 1900's. Thus it is reported that no other health concern now has the same urgency as cancer because no other health condition is escalating as fast.

Aaccording to studies some 33 contributing factors can cause the development of cancer, Exposure to one or more of these evrimental, lifestyle, physical ans emotional stress factors can lead to cancer.

Attemisia vulgaris L.

Local names Motherwort, Maidenwort, Fleabane,Felon herb, wormwood.

In the 3rd Edition of the Fitoterapia Vademecum de Prescription. Plantas Medicinales, the following active principles were listed as constituents of Artemisia vulgaris L. : .02-.03 %,cineol, alcanfor, linalool o tuyona as major constituent, it also contains borneol, alfa cadinol, espatulenol, monoterpenos and lactones sesquiterpenicas.
