The blade on a 110 is not anywhere near 5-6 inches long, it is actually less than 4...
I own a 110, as well as a 055, 119, 373 and 102 Cocobola. All are great, even the import 373.
How do you guys feel about Gerber? They make a pretty quality knife for the money...IMO. I do like a good Buck knife, and the 110 is good for the money too...
Buck knives are great. I own a couple of 525s, a 110, a 119 and a 120. Very durable. One major drawback however is that Bucks are very difficult to sharpen. It is best to take them to a professinal sharpener the first time and then keep an edge on yourself after that.
I used to have a buck knife years ago, an American made knife until I lost it. I went to buy another, and when I got it home I was shocked to see "CHINA" stamped on the blade. The knife went right back in the wrapper and back to walmart and I said I want my money back for this chinese crap! The lady told me that what had happened is when schrade went under, buck bought what was left of their stocks, and cashed in on them and took that money and built the plant in china. I always said if I ever buy another buck, I will pay the extra money for an American made knife. I own alot of leatherman tools, which I know some of the components are not American made, but I do know none of the parts are made in china! When they are built, they are built in Oregon, buy Americans for Americans!
I have several schrades, cases, and leathermans...not a one says CHINA anywhere on them.
Buy Case knives, all american made..

At WalMart watch out for crappy "Winchester" knives made in China. WalMart used to sell Schrade knives made in upstate New York. But they switched to a very poor suppler of Schrade knockoffs in China. Shrade went bankrupt shortly thereafter, putting 100 craftsmen out of work.
