She was brought up in New Jersey until the age of 14.Sunil ShettyPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania, USA when she was barely 14. Big B who was there too encouraged her father to take her to Bollywood. As a result, she did her first film Paagalpan in Hindi in 2001 but it was not a hit. She then went to Tollywood. She did her first Tollywood movie Nuvvu Naaku Nachav with Telugu actor Venkatesh in 2001, which was more successful invited her to dance on stage.Suniel Shetty invited her to dance with him on stage in Philadelphia when she was barely 14. The big B, who was also present at the show, encouraged her father to take her to Bollywood. Her Hindi debut, Pagalpaan, opposite Karan Nath wasn't well received. She came to Tollywood instead, acted with all the stalwarts in the industry and firmly ensconced herself in the hearts of Telugu movie lovers across the globe.Aarti Agarwal was the de facto number one heroine in Tollywood.Perhaps in that happiness she started putting on weight. And flab is a heavy burden in an era that swears by reedy, anorexic figures. Her bulk was a joke an open one in the film Neunnanu in which she was uncharitably called gas cylinder.So Aarti Agarwal took a sabbatical and shed those extra avoirdupois. But when she came back, things were not where she had left.Things had moved on and she had start afresh. Offers were not easy to come by.
