I am not a professional NBA analyst, but here is my two cents about Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics.  I am a strong believer that Ray Allen is one of the most clutch players in the NBA. It seems that every week he drains a three pointer with only seconds left to tie or win the game. Throughout the game he may have an average performance, but when there is left that two minutes left, he has the proverbial "switch" that he can turn on and make any shot seem effortless.

In the recent playoff series with the Bulls, he has already nailed 2 tough threes in the closing seconds of regulation. In game 4, Allen was not shooting well before the end of the game, but then he calmly drained a three, and made a few tough shots in overtime as well. Although they lost that game because Ben Gordon made an equally amazing three pointer, Ray Allen once again showed why he is one of the most clutch players in the NBA. Game 6, WOW! Great game, and an amazing performance by Allen; 51 points and 9 threes (an inch away from 10 threes and winning the game) kept his team in the game with though shots until the very end.

He has a high, extremely quick release that is extremely difficult to block, and he is one of the best shooters ever in the NBA. Even though he is not one of the top 10 players in the NBA, he can hit big threes down the stretch. Because of all these attributes, if I were coaching a NBA team down by three with only seconds left, I would undoubtedly put the ball in the hands of Ray Allen.
