Many people want an above ground pool in their back yard. Its easy to put up and take down and there isn't digging involved! There are problems with getting your first pool started and that is the learning curve. Learning exactly what pool is right for you and your family is going to be on the hardest parts.

Bigger Is Better?

Remember when purchasing your pool that bigger is not always better. That is to say that the pool will not always feel bigger just because it holds more water. If you plan on only having 2 to 3 people in your pool and you would like it high enough that it feels like you're in the pool and not in a puddle. Then I highly suggest you get a pool that's why the enough to fit the amount of people you want in there comfortably, while maintaining a good height. This will prevent you from needing to be on your knees in order to splash around in your own pool.

Also something that would go along these lines, do not buying more pool do you plan to use. The pool will not last forever, thus purchasing a larger pool not make it last longer. You will just be wasting your money and getting no use out of the extra room.

Out Of Season

When pool season is over stores all over try to get rid of their pool stock, this is the perfect time to purchase a good pool for you and your family at a greatly discounted price. You will have to wait until next year to use it but it will save you some money and give you something to look forward to.

When pool season end you can also stock up on the supplies needed to maintain your pool. These also go on a heavy discount when winter is approaching. I would buy everything you can expect to use next year when you are enjoying your new pool as some of the testing equipment such as the PH balance strips are quite expensive normally.

Cheaper Pools

If you do want to shop on the cheaper end of above ground pools. You should know that you may only get 2 years use out of it. Most pools aren't mean to be used over and over again that are not $200 or more. Of course as stated above you can get some great deals on pools that will last you a couple of years.

Think of it as an investment. Investing in something that you will use for the next 5 years or something you will have to replace every year, thinking like this should help influence your decision on which pool you should purchase.

Cleaning Supplies

Of course you will need cleaning supplies for your brand-new pool. These supplies can usually be purchased either as enough for the summer. Or most of the time you can fine large buckets of chlorine, and the other essentials for pool cleaning which will save you money in the long run. If you don't think that you will have a pool next year or the year after then do not purchase in bulk. Though if you plan on having a pool as many years as you could possibly have it. I highly suggest purchasing in bulk as this will save you a load of money.

Buy For The Year To Come

When purchasing a pool I highly recommend that you do not just decide one day to purchase one. You should have a plan to purchase a pool at least a half a year and advance.this will allow you to purchase out of season pools at a much discounted price saving you a lot of money.

In addition to this. If money is tight, make a pact with yourself that you will not purchase pools in season. This means that even if your pool breaks down and stops working in the middle of summer you will not purchase another one. It may be difficult especially during a sweltering summer. Making this pact with yourself and not breaking it may save you an arm and a leg though.
