Above Ground Pool Vacuum

When you are shopping around for above ground pool vacuum, it really pays to know what your options are. There are several different types of pool vacuums, and in this article I'm going to be talking about what they are, what the relative advantages and disadvantages are, and where to buy them at the best prices.

The first type of above ground pool vacuum is the simple manual vacuum. This is a vacuum head on the end of a hose which you can attach to a pole, and is specially designed to help vacuum up debris and Finder. It plugs directly into a suction outlet, such as the skimmer outlet of your pool. The water is sucked into the circulatory system and goes through the filter, where it is cleaned and returned back into the pool

There is a variation on the manual vacuum that uses pressurised water, either from a garden hose or from a return outlet in your pool. Though this is taking pressurised water rather than plugging into the suction side of the pump, it still sucks up the dirt using a method known as the Venturi effect. One of the benefits of using this type of pool vacuum is that they often have vacuum bags to take up the dirt that is sucked up, which means that you are not clogging your pool's filter with leaves and other junk.

The next type of above ground pool vacuum that you will hear about is the automatic pool vac. This is a specialised mechanical device that automatically cleans your pool without human supervision. It runs using the power from your pool's pump, both to suck up the dirt, and to move itself around. If you leave it running several hours it will cover most of pool, even though it seems to be moving in a totally random direction. One of the disadvantages of using one of these machines is that they do not cover the entire pool -- they usually come about 95% of it, so you'll have to spots clean the rest yourself. However, this makes the job massively easier and is nowhere near as time-consuming.

The final type of above ground pool vacuum, and by far the most sophisticated, is the robotic pool cleaner. This system uses an on-board computer to control it, and to cover the entire pool it has powerful jets and brushes to help it shake loose dirt that would not come up otherwise. These machines are powered by electricity, and is not safe to jump into the pool while they are running because you could be electrocuted if there was a fault. They're much more effective at cleaning the pool than an automatic pool cleaner, and will get rid of almost all the dirt. It is possible that they could leave some ingrained dirt or some dirt in they very difficult to reach corner which you would have to clean for yourself, but it will take just a moment to handle this.

The main disadvantage of this type of device is that it is much more expensive than the other two, because it is so much more sophisticated. The benefit is that it cleans your pool almost as well, and in some cases better, than a person would be able to achieve. You consider how much it cost to hire someone to clean your pool, surely can see why it is much cheaper to use a robotic pool cleaner.

All of these different types of above ground pool vacuum are available for sale on the Internet. There is one particular website which I recommend that you use because it is much cheaper than the others, offering a 30% discount on all items, undercutting any lower prices you can find elsewhere. If you do find a lower price on another site or in a shop, they will undercut it by 10%. This is why you can shop sure that the prices seen are the lowest possible.
