Absolute Belief
63
-Are you a believer of an absolute belief?
-Do you think in absolutes taking free thought hostage as a thief?
-Does your belief know all in your arrogant assumptions to believe?
-Does your absolute belief teach individual thought or a followers deceit?
-Will you live in unconscious absolutes or an individual belief?
-Is your belief driven by emotional attachments?
-Only to keep you in a followers absolute reaction.
-Play the emotions with fear and deceit.
-Create an absolute belief to make individuals retreat.
-Do you believe creation or evolution, is your belief absolute?
-Or do you humble and admit to not knowing absolutes to accept an individual truth?

Thank You for reading and commenting Hmrjmr.
I disagree. I believe the truth is not believing absolutes while holding an individual ground.
Although, that's not my absolute belief.
Good article and I view this as a choice between conforming vs. independence. To be true to yourself, think outside the box and be self-reliant. Avoid clicks or controlling groups.
I have absolute belief. It's a two stage process though.
A.) I can assume a concept is correct based on the source, and based on similarity to other beliefs I have
B.) I analyze the concept, look for facts, and if I can validate it then it becomes absolute.
I can't validate the existence of a deity. I am sure there is none.
I do know that spirituality is important to a healthy mind. If you find yours in religion, more power to you. If you avoid using your belief to define who you are, even better. A healthy mind is also an open one. :-)

Thank You for reading and commenting Nancy, Wyanjen.
Nancy, I agree. Very well said.
Wyanjen, You contradicted absolute when you said you assume a concept. There is no assumptions in an absolute. A belief in absolutes is a belief closed to new information. There are no absolutes in a learning belief. Only content beliefs are absolute. When you say you are sure there isn't a diety, this is also a contradiction to absolutes. How can it be absolute when it can't be proven?
Thank You
I'm dizzy with all this absolute stuff LOL! Now I don't know what to say ...I'm in the middle of an absolute mess !:)
lol tantrum
I'm understanding "absolute" as "completely certain". I read this again, thinking of maybe blind trust instead?
Sorry I missed the connotation... I have this same problem when talking about truth. The word means something completely different to me than it does to others who use it in terms of faith.
Then see my above comment for the reason that I say, absolutely not! If you don't allow yourself to think independently and explore, you are only denying yourself.
:-)
Regarding a deity, I see no certain proof that one exists. I do see certain proof of scientific explanations for things that were once attributed to god.
What I think I am reading here is a contradiction between structured religion and individual spirituality.
Thanks for the hub! Great questions to consider.
There are so many absolutes that to deny them is to be, well.....?
Hello tantrum, wyanjen, quietness, Thank You for reading/commenting, Much appreciated.
Tantrum, you are partly responsible for the insanity of absolutes because my conversation with you is what initiated my thoughts of absolutes. lol. Thank You
wyanjen, I don't think there is an absolute definition of absolutes or it would contradict absolute. I believe a blind trust is faith, not absolute. Agreed on independent/individual thought, it is a contradicton of being born individual when one follows a grouped belief. Great Thoughts you added. Thank You.
Quietness, nothing is absolute but what you believe. Simply because it is absolute to you doesn't make it absolute to others. Nothing is absolute unless you believe it is absolute. If you believe it absolute, you are contradicting absolutes.
I'm absolutely true to myself.
Thank You for reading and commenting XTASIS. Is yourself absolute?
Belief is a choice I thought, but now I pray it's a part of me regardless, thanks, Kimberly

Your Thinking can change as you continue to learn but I do have a belief that all things are possible with God my creator. Enjoyed reading your hub.

Why do we believe in sugar ? Why do we believe in Cancer ? Why do we believe in domestic verbal abuse ? Why do we believe that death is the ruler to our limited existance ???
Why is it that not one of us were informed that our brain is so smart, we have the capacity to live for 750 years with the same body and the same brain.
Cancer is but a canquer.
Cancer is an illusion to make usbelieve you all die.
What if, as stubborn as I am, what if , cancer is not allowed in my body or my brain.
What if longevity is the cure to my 750th birthday.
Ever wonder why funeral homes are so wealthy ? Everyone dies so the funeral homes are guaranteed a return on their investment. Why do we believe them, so we die and they make a profit out of our human body.
Go worms Go, compost your brain into dirt with earth worms.
Or else, you could deny access to this stupidity and live for as long as you want. Heck , what is 750 years in the same body, ..., can it be done ?
If you believed as an absolute that living 750 years could never be done, you would destroy the possibility with a limiting absolute belief that it couldn't. If you believed it could, you would be open to the possibility by not believing it as impossible.
hi ,marine ! XTASIS had said what I believe to be true, being her ,so truly myself ! LOL!
Absolutism is dangerous. Maybe it's best to be an agnostic! ;-)
I follow a spiritual path. The energies behind it more or less grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and said "Come here!". However, I would not dream of imposing it on anyone, or even proselytising for it. It is my path alone. If others land on the same or similar path as a result of their personal experience, well and good, but that is their choice. My path provides me with a way of looking at things that suits me. However, it is only a small part of what might be called "Truth", presented in a way that makes sense to my limited understanding but might be nonsense to someone else. Nuff said, although if you're curious, my profile contains a hint. :))
Thanks to all for reading/commenting. I haven't checked this one in a while. WriteAngled, I checked out the profile, seems you are very open and accepting that your belief is not everyones belief. I agree with you. Thank You
