Acai Berry And Weight Loss Scams

There always seems to be some new fad diet or weight loss program floating around that claims to be the next big breakthrough in weight loss. The latest one that is all over the internet is the acai berry weight loss diet combined with a colon cleansing program.

Every day there are new websites popping up promoting some kind of acai product for weight loss. Most of them follow the same format and some of them even have pictures of the same person and they are claiming that the person is them. I saw 3 different sites with the same pictures claiming to be 3 different people with different names! How is that for a definite scam? I mean some of the stories are almost believable but when you see that they are blatantly lying to try and sell their product that is just horrible.

The format that most of them follow is that they tell a story about losing 30 or 40 lbs in a month and tell how an acai berry product and a colon cleanse product helped them do it with no exercise or anything else needed. What a load of crap! Anyone who knows anything about fitness and losing weight can tell you that this is not possible. Now I’m not saying that the acai berry does not have good health benefits because it does. I have personally taken an acai product for a couple of years now for its antioxidant properties. I think it is a great health food and it has its place. It’s just not weight loss. If they would have just talked about how these products helped them with a good exercise program or something along those lines it might have been a little better. But that wouldn't sell because most people are just looking for that quick easy way to lose weight that doesn't really exist!

The main thing that these sites do is use a story that appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show last year with Dr. Mehmet Oz, a well known surgeon and author. He is somewhat of a celebrity doctor I guess you could say. On this particular show he talked about the health benefits of acai. But what these scam sites do is throw in their own personal story which is surely fictional since everything else on the site is fake! They tell you how they lost the weight with acai and a colon cleanse. No exercise or special diet needed. It's like magic! And then they conveniently throw in 2 free trial offers for you to try the product yourself for free. Most of these free trials will bill your credit card after 2 weeks if the product is not returned and the person with the phony weight loss story gets paid. And the end consumer just got duped...

Now like I said before, there are actually a lot of good acai products out there that do have great health benefits. I think the acai berry is an amazing whole food supplement. And there are a lot of great health benefits to colon cleansing as well. There are also many good programs out there that teack you how to do it right. You can even lose a few pounds by doing a colon cleanse. The funny thing is you can achieve the same results with a good fresh vegetable juice cleanse. But the fact here is that you will not lose all the weight you ever want to lose by following these scams! While a good colon cleanse can surely be the start of a successful weight loss plan, it is only one step in a very complex puzzle.

A good weight loss plan will consist of a good healthy diet of whole natural foods and a proper exercise routine. Without these 2 components all the acai berries and colon cleanses in the world can’t help you. The best thing that anyone can do when it comes to analyzing weight loss plans is just use good old common sense! There is no easy way to lose weight and stay in shape. It will always require some kind of effort. Think about it, if it was that easy everyone would have the body of their dreams and obesity would not exist! That is the cold hard truth that most people do not want to hear. Everyone is always looking for that magic easy secret to weight loss that simply does not exist. A general rule of thumb on this topic is if it sounds too good to be true it probably is!

Now if you are looking for a good way to lose weight and attain the body of your dreams, do yourself a favor and learn about eating healthy and find a good exercise plan. There is so much good information on the internet on this topic it is unreal. All you have to do is be willing to accept the truth. There are no magic pills that actually work and you won’t find any links here to the next new craze in weight loss because like I said, it's all a load of dung.

I hope you found this article on acai berry weight loss scams helpful and I wish you luck in your all of your health and weight loss efforts.

Good hub, Shubbell.

I have never believed in "secret keys" to success in different domains overnight, like "learn English in 30 days", "speak Chinese overnight" or "lose 20 lbs in two weeks".

I have first heard about Acai only about a couple of weeks ago and it was from hubpages too. It is a really good hub I learnt things from: http://hubpages.com/hub/Is-Acai-Worth-What-We-Are-

I totally agree with this. I have run across many of these fake sites all over the internet. It's a shame that a lot of people don't know better and fall for these scams.

The greedy people who promose super foods are the culprits. They want to sell by false promise. Acai is very benificial to health but people exagrate its benifits for sale.
