I was very lucky to be allowed to test drive Three of the top Mini Notebooks available and The Acer Aspire One proved to be a fantastic machine.

From the moment I opened the box I was hooked simply because unlike the other mini notebooks on the market this one had a different look altogether, it doesn't conform to the norm, It is a great looking machine, pearly white with a dash of color on the hinges, you open it up to find a black frame around the 8.9 inch screen and for a small machine the keys are surprisingly well spaced.

Weight wise it is just over 2 pounds which makes it ideal for travelling around with.

What's in the box?

When you open the box you will find

1x Acer Inspire one notebook(netbook),1x battery, 1x power adaptor, 1x recovery CD, 1x users guide and a protection sleeve to avoid scratches.

 When you power up the Acer it is surprisingly very quick to start from power on to ready to use in around 15 seconds, the machine I was testing had Windows XP installed but you can if you prefer buy an Acer with Linux pre installed instead.

This machine is a flyer, it carries out tasks instantly and it is great for multi tasking, the keyboard is small though but the keys are well spaced making it a bit easier on your fingers than some of the other Ultra's out there.

The battery lasts for a good couple of hours giving you plenty of time to do those urgent tasks that you have been putting off.

I love this machine and I hope that when Christmas comes around Santa Claus will find a space in my Christmas Stocking to fit one in for me.
