Medical practitioners still advocate proper posture while eating and after eating as well as regulating what you eat and the amount of food that you ingest to reduce occurrences of acid reflux. The acid reflux and Atkins diet combination might be beneficial for some individuals but for some it may have no effect whatsoever.

I have had Acid Reflux for 18 yrs now since my 1st pregnancy, have done everything, every med possible. Still almost daily! Went on Atkins and after 7 days my acid reflux was 100% GONE!! OMG the relief was amazing. Went off Atkins after about 2 months and the acid reflux came back full blown. I am now back on it not to lose weight but to keep my reflux under control! Its awesome!
