I am laying in bed it is about 3:00 in the morning and my chest starts hurting.

Am I having a heart attack or is it my Acid Reflux disease again.

I'm almost afraid to go to the ER again, I have been there so many times thinking that it is my heart and it is the Acid Reflux.

You see I am young, but I had an aneurysm of the heart anora and had Open Heart Surgery to repair it four years ago. So I am always afraid that something is happening with that, but I have also had Acid Reflux for years. It comes and goes, especially around the holidays.

In the last few months, I hurt a lot after I go to bed in my chest area.

I have started paying attention to what I do before and after I go to bed.

and if I get up and eat again after I go to bed, it really hurts, lasts for hours, a lot higher then it was before.

First it starts as a slight feeling of discomfort, then goes to a feeling of pain, then it goes to a higher feeling of pain. Stays like that for a while then will go away.

Please understand that I know that all chest pain could be dangerous, but after owing thousands and thousands of dollars to the hospital I just don't want to go for gas pain again.

Please don't be like me, go to the hospital right away if you think you are having a heart attack.  Acid Reflux has some of the same sysmptoms, but it takes a few years to kill you. A heart attack can be instant death.
