If you suffer from embarrassing acne on your face, then I'm sure you've tried many things to get rid of it.  But acne is never easy to manage, and can prove difficult to treat.  Fortunately, there are a wide variety of acne products on the market that you can use to treat your acne and keep it under control. 

But with the wide variety of acne skin care products on the market, it can be difficult to know which one you should choose and which will work well for you.  In this guide, I will help you to take a look at some of the factors you need to take into consideration when looking for an acne product that will work for you, so you can figure out which the best acne products for you are without having to waste your money by trying lots of products that just aren't right.

If you have dry skin, you won't have any oily spots either, bu you may have some flakiness or redness.  If you've tried out acne treatment products in the past, you may have found that a lot of them dried out your skin even more, which is why it's often difficult for people with dry skin to find acne products that will work for them.  Many of these products contain drying ingredients like benzoyl peroxide.  You'll need to look for a product that contains moisturizers so that you can fight your acne without drying your skin out further.

If you have oily skin, you will find that your face quickly gets greasy, particularly on your nose, cheeks, and forehead.  You are also likely to have large pores, and are more inclined to acne breakouts than the other skin types.  Acne is a major problem for you, but finding acne products that work with your skin type isn't, as most acne skin care products were created with people with oily skin in mind.

This is a very common skin type, in which certain areas of the face tend to be oily, like the nose and forehead, but the cheeks are dry.  It can be frustrating at first to try and treat your acne, since some products will work great for one part of your face, but cause problems in a different area.  However, since this is one of the most common skin types and it is a skin type that is very prone to breakouts on the forehead and nose, you should be able to find acne treatment products that are specially designed for your face by looking for ones that are labeled "for combination skin."

If you have sensitive skin, then I feel your pain.  Literally too.  Sensitive skin can often be very painful, particularly when it comes in contact with many of the ingredients that are found in even the best acne products.  Your skin is likely to be very dry, get red easily, and feel like it's burning or stinging whenever it becomes slightly irritated.  If you have sensitive skin you absolutely MUST look for acne products that specify that they are for sensitive skin.  It might be more difficult to find one that works for you, but they are out there, so just keep looking.

No matter which type of skin you have, there are excellent acne products on the market that can work wonderfully. Most products even come with variations that are specially formulated for each of the skin types, so look for the one that's right for your skin type before purchasing.
