Tips For Acne Relief

We have all heard of products that can be applied to the skin for the relief of acne. There are so many claims. Which ones do you try? How many do you have to try before you find one that works for you?

Well, here's my thought. What if you took a completely different approach? What if you started from the inside? Read more about acne help, here.

Here's what I'm talking about. Start with a complete colon and liver cleanse. You have spent all your life cleaning, brushing and washing the outside of your body. Have you ever thought about cleaning the inside? Think about all the years that you have eaten, well, whatever it is that you like to eat. I know, here in America, the typical diet is awful, to say the least.

Let's take a look at the typical American diet.

Breakfast usually consists of one or more of the following.

  • coffee or tea
  • cereal
  • donut
  • toast/french toast
  • eggs
  • bacon
  • pancakes
  • juice
  • fruit
  • herbal tea

Lets start with the coffee. I wrote another hub on this subject, here. Read this and think about how coffee, tea, soda, sugary drinks, etc are making our bodies acidic and diseased.

Now the donut. What are donut made from? Flour, sugar, spices, etc. What happens to flour when it is mixed with water? It becomes a paste, right? That is what is going into your body, along with the sugar and it is building up in your small intestine, getting stuck.

OK, now the cereal. Cereal can be very good for you.....depending on which ones you buy. Many are loaded with sugar, sodium, hydrogenated and/or partially hydrogenated oils and preservatives. Stay away from these. They are poisoning you from the inside out. There are some great cereals out there. Read the label. Look for organic as much as possible. You may pay a bit more for it, but it's your health we're talking about here. Aren't you worth it?

Toast & French Toast...yummy, but, are you using whole grain bread? Are you using real maple syrup? (I live in New England where some of the biggest maple sugaring companies are and once you've had the real stuff, you just can't go back to the artificial junk). If you are unlucky enough to not have access to Real Maple Syrup, let me know. I can get you an address where I know they ship all over.

Anyway, the artificial stuff is corn syrup with maple flavoring, yuck! This is not about how you can have real maple syrup sent to you. It's about what is in the artificial stuff and how bad it is for your body. More sugar and more preservatives. All this junk is building up in your small intestines.

Eggs aren't too bad. Just make sure they are organic. You just never know what some chickens are being fed.

Bacon. Actually any kind of meat is making our bodies acidic. Diseases of almost any form thrive in an acid body. Extreme moderation is my recommendation for meat consumption. When your body becomes too acidic, all kind of diseases start and will only get worse as time goes by. Read my hub about this.

Fruit, OK, now we're starting to eat better. How about a fruit salad? Yummy! How about fruit salad with organic granola? mmmmmmm!!!

Herbal tea is very good for you. Drink it hot with a bit of honey. Very tasty.

What's my Point?

OK, so you get the idea. If that's just breakfast, imagine all the other meals, snacks, beverages, etc, that you consume everyday. If it's not fruit, raw veggies, lean white meat, (limited amount), legumes, grains, nuts and whole fruit juice, herbal tea, filtered water, honestly, it's not good for your body.

I know how limited this sounds, but I guess it depends on how healthy you want to be. You can take it to the extreme and follow this eating pattern only. You can mix it up a bit. You know, eat healthy 80% of the time, splurge 20%. This is my pattern. I watch my diet all week, Monday through Saturday. Sunday is my splurge day, and I look forward to it and enjoy every minute of it.

My husband and I eat Sunday breakfast out. Then we go shopping and get some sinful candy, fudge, ice-cream or something like that. We munch on that the rest of the day. Then we have dinner at home, usually fried chicken dinner or something like that. I have a couple of beers with dinner. So, as you can see, I really go all out.....one day a week.

Then once per year, I do a colon and liver cleanse. You can read about that here. Every 5 years or so, I do a complete detoxification cleanse. This way, when I do eat poorly and it gets in there and gets stuck, I will be cleaning it out when I do the cleanse.

So, you don't have to eat perfectly all the time as long as you are conscience of the fact that for optimum health, you need to do a cleaning once or twice per year and a detox cleanse every 5 or so years.

So, to conclude. I believe strongly that if your diet includes such things as;

  • milk, cheese, yogurt, ice-cream
  • bread, bagals
  • sugar, artificial sweetner
  • coffee, black tea, creamer
  • pasteries, donuts, cookies
  • chips, crackers
  • meat, eggs,
  • pasta

I'm certainley not suggesting that you give all this stuff up entirely. I am suggesting that you consider limiting your intake of such things and consider doing a colon and liver cleanse 1 to 2 times every year. Consider the complete detox one every 5 years. Your body will thank you.

The most noticable change in doing this is, your skin. If you suffer from skin problems, anything from acne, to psoriasis, exema, too dry, too oily. Every kind of skin problem can be linked to a problem inside your body. Clean out the body and watch the skin clear up as a result.

Want a guide to doing either a basic cleanse or a total detox cleanse, FREE? You can contact me and I will get one or both right to you. My contact information is listed below.

Find your healthy glow. Do a cleanse today. Not only will your body thank you, your skin will as well.

So, as you can see, I really don't think skin care products will clear up such skin problems as acne, psoriasis, exema, overly dry or oily. Skin care products support great skin, they don't make great skin. Great skin starts from within and good, high quality skin care products support that. The two go hand and hand. One does a so so job without the other. But, together, the results are amazing!

So this hub is about acne relief and there you have it. For relief of acne, you need a combination of inside and outside help. Begin with a cleanse, add high quality skin care products and give it 90 days. The results are amazing!
