Zap The Zits

Acne is a big problem for teenagers and even some adults. In my hub Tips for Flawless Skin I included some useful information for all ages. This hub will focus mainly on teens. I will talk about some things that can help prevent pimple outbreaks, and to get rid of pimples for those that are acne prone.

What causes acne?

Acne can be caused by many things such as stress and improper hygiene.

Stress

Stress isn't just a problem for adults. Many teens going through puberty have high levels of stress from school and their personal life. Stress can cause acne outbreaks so you will want to prevent it before it happens. Talking to someone about problems you are going through helps a great deal. If you are mentally at ease your stress levels will drop. Never hesitate to express yourself to keep stress levels down.

Hygiene

To prevent acne from happening take care of your hygiene. Wash your hands often What does washing hands have to do with my face? You can spread bacteria to your face by not washing your hands. If you can't use soap and water buy a small bottle of Purell to keep with you at all times. Also, wash your face in between baths at least twice a day with a soft wash cloth. Take some tap water and heat it on the stove to remove organisms you can't see. Do not use scented soap because this may be the reason your skin is breaking out.

Best Acne Product?

Pro-Activ

Surely you have seen commercial after commercial for Pro-Activ. It has been proven by dermatologists that it is effective. It works for the majority of people who use it, and the ingredients are powerful enough to prevent future outbreaks. It is on the expensive end, but if you want a clear face you may need to spend a few extra bucks. I rarely get zits but I have this in my cabinet to use as a preventative measure. Be aware in some cases it may not work for you.

Short and Sweet. Too right about Hygiene - sometimes we touch our face unconsiously. I always have a sanitizer in my handbag (handwash gel).

Also, different foods can bring out acne in people e.g peanuts, chocolate but drinking lots of water helps.

Hope you are enjoying HP so far. Regards, Elena.
