Acne prescription medication in trouble again
64Yesterday I read an article about an attorney suing a prescription Acne manufacturer for his client bombing a school.
Teenagers have hard enough time dealing with self-esteem during acne outbreaks. Add to that side-effects from acne medication and you have a recipe for disaster.
Parents need to exhaust all OTC options before providing prescription drugs. Scientists at NY College of Medicine have shown that Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is more effective than antibiotics such as Clindamycin in treatment of acne. Addtionally there are no side-effects unlike those associated with use of antibiotics. Research also indicates that Niacinamide can reduce skin hyperpigmentation, increase skin moisture and reduce fine wrinkles. Niacinamide is also available in prescription format and sold under the brand name -Nicomide.
My teenager uses "Niapads". It contains Niacinamide - generally recognized as safe for use by pregnant women as well.
Research also indicates that Niacinamide can reduce skin hyperpigmentation, increase skin moisture and reduce fine wrinkles. Niapads is a single step fix for pimples. It is a face cleansing pad containing Niacinamide (Vitamin B3). Each pack contains 30 pads. Wet the pad and rub gently to make it lather. Gently scrub the affected areas. Wait for a few seconds and rinse off with clean water. Pat dry gently with a soft towel. In one step, you have exfoliation, pore cleansing and antibacterial treatment. Niacinamide is also great for eliminating acne scars and skin hyper-pigmentation. Unique blend of emollients prevent drying of your skin. It has Lavender oil, which has skin beneficial properties and imparts a lovely lavender smell to the product. Can it get any simpler than that?
So parents - give your teenager a simple effective option.
