Acoustic Guitar Learn to Play - Do you need help finding kids guitar lessons

Have you got a child who has begged you for an Acoustic guitar?

You finally give in and buy it, and then you have to endure the constant noise of an out of tune guitar coming from your child’s bedroom.

This noise goes on for weeks, days and months and then there is silence.

You go up to their room to find them frustrated and disappointed, and the guitar dumped in the corner of the room never to be played again.

You also feel disappointed for them, but you also feel slightly irritated that yet again you have wasted your hard earned cash.

You then ask yourself “Where did it all go wrong”

With us it had all gone wrong before we had even entered the shop.

We hadn’t asked our daughter “How do you want to learn to play the acoustic guitar?”

If we had asked her some basic questions we would have found out that an Acoustic guitar learn to play book wasn’t the answer.

Kids Guitar lessons need to be inspiring and helpful, a guitar book didn‘t tick the boxes.

After a few months of her guitar sitting in the corner gathering dust, my daughter decided that she wanted to try playing the guitar again.

This time we asked the question “How do you want to learn to play the acoustic guitar?”

Her answer was “I want to watch listen and learn

With this in mind we asked if she wanted to go to a guitar teacher, she said

No, I don’t want to be tied down to a particular day and time every week

I must admit I was relieved at this answer, not only because kids guitar lessons are expensive, but also the time issue, by the time to drop them off it really isn’t worth driving home, you might as well sit in the car for an hour wasting time.

One of her friends had found acoustic guitar lessons online.

Thankfully you could try the course for free.

You had a six part course that was sent to her every 4 days so you could practice.

This meant my daughter could practice at her own pace, and by the end of day 3 she was playing the House of the Rising Sun and she was playing it well (I could actually recognise it).

Needless to say aftershe had completed the 6 part course we decided to buy acoustic guitar lessons online course.

She hasn’t looked back since. She is really enjoying the course and I must admit so am I.

I enjoy listening to the new songs she’s learning, and her guitar playing is improving every day.
