If you have perused through my hubs, you will know that there are lot of concrete steps you can take that will increase your web traffic.

Now you want traffic. I know you want traffic, otherwise why are you publishing on the Web?

Even if you don't care about making money from Adsense, Ebay and Amazon, you still want an audience. Maybe not everyone cares about this (I had a blog a few moons ago that I used to love to write on, which, in fact, I cared less about whether I got traffic).

But, in general, if you are publishing on the Web, you probably want traffic.

Now, at this point, I am beginning to feel like a traffic cop.

I am starting to focus on traffic so much in my articles, as well as in my actual life(!), that it is becoming an obsession.

Which is good.

You cannot have success on the Internet without traffic.

But things can be misleading...

It "feels" as if everything is kind of automated, and just happens for you, when you're sitting in front of a computer screen, and of course, on the Web, much is in fact automated.

What is not automated, however, is the ways in which you can set yourself up to become automated.

What do I mean by that?

This is the Internet. Read that again. This is the InterNET.

It is the world wide WEB.

Now, as every spider knows, building a Web takes a lot of time, BUT ONCE IT'S BUILT YOU CAN JUST SIT ON WAIT FOR THE FLIES.

But the actual building of the links that make up your section of the world wide web, of the Net, will take a lot of investment in time, and possibly a learning curve also.

In short, I can promise you this: YOU WILL NOT GET TRAFFIC, THAT IS, NO VISITORS, WITHOUT WORKING FOR THEM, AND THIS MEANS ACTION.

I mention this because, on some of my other hubs I have fairly lengthy lists of what to do to get traffic. These are things APART FROM SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION.

The truth is that you are limited by what search engine optimization you can do on Hubpages anyway. You cannot, for example, use metatags, which are normally a focus of solid SEO.

So, this is a grand opportunity to focus on traffic THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GOOGLE.

This is important, because Google can sometimes take six months to even find you...

But, in any event, Google will NEVER find you if you do not implement the strategies for getting traffic laid out in my other hubs.

In short, IF YOU DO NOT TAKE ACTION YOU WILL GET NOWHERE.

Please make no mistake about this. If you want Adsense, Ebay and Amazon clicks, YOU NEED TRAFFIC. This means you need NON-hubbers coming to your hubs, as well as hubbers.

FOR THIS REASON I IMPLORE YOU -- DON'T JUST READ MY SUGGESTIONS: TAKE ACTION, BECAUSE THESE TRAFFIC STRATEGIES WORK.
