Imran Khan made his debut as a lead actor in the 2008 film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, produced by Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan and co-starring Genelia D'Souza. The film received rave reviews from critics and proved to be one of the biggest hits of the year. Khan was furthermore nominated for Best Male Debut at the 54th Filmfare awards and won it along with Farhan Akhtar. His next movie was Kidnap with Sanjay Dutt and Minissha Lamba where he played a negative role. The movie flopped at the box office, attributed by critics to its poorly executed direction. However, Khan's performance was appreciated and earned him an IIFA Award nomination in 2009. Khan is set to make his next appearance in the action movie Luck with Shruti Haasan and Sanjay Dutt.

Delhi Belly

is a forthcoming 2009 Bollywood comedy movie, revolving around several characters in Delhi. The film is being produced by Aamir Khan, who is also said to be doing a cameo role in the movie, under his banner Aamir Khan Productions in association with UTV Motion Pictures and directed by ad filmmaker Abhinay Deo, who was roped in after Swedish director Robert Nylund withdrew

Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor and Chitrangada Singh were touted to star in the movie. After both of them backed off, Aamir signed his nephew Imran khan for the lead role after he attained tremendous success with his debut film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. The shooting for the movie began in August, 2008 and is scheduled to be completed in one long schedule in Delhi. The well known Indian comedian Vir Das has also been signed for the film to star in the lead role opposite Imran.

I Hate Luv Stories

I Hate Luv Stories is a forthcoming film starring Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles,Produced under Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and directed by debutante Punit Malhotra, nephew of designer Manish Malhotra who has earlier worked as an assistant director to Johar.
