Knowing Simran

5'6" tall, Punjabi girl, Simran was born on April 4, 1976 in Mumbai, India. Her original name by birth was Rishibala Naval. She has two younger sisters. Simran finished her Bachelor's degree in Commerce.

She joined Bollywood when Jaya Bachchan saw her in "Superhit Muqabla" on Doordarshan's Metro channel. Before this serial, Simran regularly performed on stage during her college days. Jaya Bachchan (Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited) called her and offered a leading role in "Tere Mere Sapne".

Because she got many offers from South Indian films, she left Mumbai to prove her talent in the south.
