Acupuncture was introduced when the door of East / West communications were opened after the historical visit of President Richard Nixon to China in 1972, connecting America to the Orient.

Acupuncture is a traditional asian healing technique that was used 2,500 years ago which originated in China. It involves puncturing of the skin that uses fine needles into Meridian points(specific points on the body). Acupuncture involves stimulating that clears blockages of this energy that flows through the body. By manipulating these needles it normalizes the balance of the opposing forces 'yin' and 'yang', the 'chi' (or Qi) energy throughout the body promoting health and well being.
