What the Acupuncturist Does or Can Do
My Acupuncture Experiences in Korea
It started when I slipped on the Ice and fell, and ended up with a lot of pain. I barely made it home to rest my bones.
Next morning I was a mess. I could barely move.
I crawled out of bed, got on the floor and did the stretching exercises I could remember to make myself literally crawl to work.
My boss took one look at me, and dragged me to the local acupuncturist who he said was very good. He was...I walked out of there and went back a couple more times and then I was OK.Truly.
I am scared of pain..so there is no way I would knowingly let anything that would cause pain, near me. I was on my back with hot pads on the areas I said hurt.
Then the Doctor came, and using something like a needle gun, shot needles into my back..between my thumbs, on my ankle and knee and on the side of my head. I lay there for about 15 minutes, then the nurse came and took them out, and I am sent away to lie on a soft, warm, water massaging bed that I love, and also a massage chair which stretches my legs and squeezes body parts.
I also showed him my legs, which have vein marks around the knees.
The nurse came, dug me with a needle, put glass cups on my legs, turned on something electrical that pumped away, that hurt like mad, and she left me to suffer alone, but not in silence. I yelled until they came, and insisted they take the cups off right then and there. It was squirting my blood out of my legs. The other side to this story is that today..three years later, the leg that they fixed is still clear of veins, and the other leg...I am still too scared to let them do it again. So I have one leg with visible veins and one with none, because I am a chicken.
The following year my back went again. After crawling to work for a few days in total agony, I went to my previous boss who took me to the Acupuncturist again, translated and explained, and in one session he fixed me.
The following year it went again. This time I was in China. I could not get anyone to understand what I wanted, and I could not find an acupuncturist and for 3 weeks I limped to work using a mop as a stick. I had no-one who even cared to help me, and knowing there were acupunturists around made it even worse. I went to the Uni Doctor, who gave me some red oil that stained all my clothes and smelt dreadful. It was the worst 3 weeks of my life...so much pain and creeping to Class, sitting in one spot all day till it was time to go home, and everyone thinking I was a little strange, but no-one offering to help or send me anywhere to get help. They just laughed at me walking along wearing flat shoes and using a stick which looked remarkably like a bamboo mop handle. That was China.
This year, the back went again..seems to be an annual event. I went straight back to Baek as I am now in Korea. He came and collected me and took me to the Acupuncturist in Nonsan, and the guy fixed me with one treatment. I limped slowly for a about a week, and was then OK. I went to the Phillipines in this week too as it was vacation time.
Now the message is clear.....acupuncture is the answer...
I know a good acupuncturist in Nonsan South Korea.
My Chiropractor and acupuncture friend from the past Steve Woods is quite possible still on Melbourne. He is excellent too. I used him in the past and he is another 'one-session' wonder.
So why are you in pain???? Go and find a good acupuncturist ...

(PS I must remember how to spell this word correctly. I think my spelling is actually better..the 'c' is confusing)
