Adam & Eve just had to disobey God. Why!!!! How we all wish this world was perfect, and there was no death, crying, sorrow, and pain, right everyone? Sighs, well, lets dive into this story poetic style!

That old serpent, more craftier than the rest

Oh he knew what he was doing

He gave Eve a piece of what he does best

He was putting her to the ultimate test

 

Eve the mother of all living responded back to him

Not knowing that what’s to come is very grim

Do not eat the fruit, for if she does, life will pass by

Yah told her not to eat it, or she will surely die

 

The serpent told Eve that in that day she would not surely die

Eve thought that she should give the fruit a try

If she eats, then her eyes will be surely open

The days of perfection sound so sweet and golden

 

She saw the fruit, and it was very pleasing to the eye

The serpent’s job was done, he pulled Eve into his lie

She gave some to her husband, how dumb could he have been?

Yah commanded the man Adam, its sad that he fell into sin

 

Adam & Eve realized that they had no clothes to wear

They both knew that their sin was too heavy to bear

They took fig leaves to cover their disgraceful shame

We should never test Yah, thinking that it’s a game

 

Yah was walking around in their dwelling place

It was evident that they did not want to see His face

Yah was looking for them,"Where are you?"

Adam answered. Could his face have turned blue?

 

Who told Adam and Eve that they were exposed?

It would have been better if their eyes were closed

Adam blamed the sin on Eve his wife

I hope that did not build up martial strife

 

What has Eve done? She gave the fruit to the man

Now death and destruction has entered the earth

What has become short? It is the human life span

 

Yah cursed the crafty serpent

That thing surely deserved it

He will crawl on his belly for life

The woman will crush his head

 

The woman’s birth pains will increase

Joy coming first was just the thing that ceased

Her desire will be for her husband

See to it that you will not fall into sin

 

Men.. We have to work so hard

Yah cursed the ground because of us

We must always be on our guard

 

Through pain we shall win our bread

Let us not disobey Yah again

We just may end up stone cold dead

Eternal life will swallow death and sin

 

From dust we came and dust we go

Let us trust in Yah our God

In that trust our faith will grow

 

Adam and Eve created coats of skin

Because of their most terrible sin

Yah banished them from the garden

One day in the future, our sins will be forever pardon
