Do you want to follow up your favorite sports teams' events and their scheduled playing time for the season? If yes, then checkout the new features added by the Google Calendar team. We can now add sports schedules and birthdays of our contacts into Google Calendar.

To add the sports schedules, go to "Other Calendars" and click "Add". Then click "Browse Interesting Calendars" to see sports schedules in the following sports: Baseball, Basketball, Football (American), Soccer (English as well as teams from other countries including US soccer team), Rugby, and Hockey.

After you add your favorite teams' schedules, Google Calendar will update the scores of these matches as it happens.

You can add schedules of English Premier League, European Championship League and other leagues.

To add your contacts birthdays, go to "Other Calendars" --> Click "Add" --> Click "Browse Interesting Calendars" --> Click "More" --> Subscribe "Contacts' birthdays and events"

Google Calendars pulls the birthdays from your Gmail account and from your friends' Google Profile accounts.

Google Calendar also has added two new Labs features, "Dim future repeating events" to make recurring events more transparent over time to allow other events to become prominent and "Add any gadget by URL" to allow us to add any gadget that is compatible with Google Calendar.
