This is a great tool for bloggers and websites. Visitors would like to print a copy of your blog or website article, with this new "Save Page as PDF" button, they can easily print the HTML document as PDF. Here is how it works from Amit Agarwal from Digital Inspiration:

Want site visitors to print or download your blog posts as PDF documents ?

PDF Online, the free PDF conversion service that helps you create PDF files of your Microsoft Office documents, has released a new online tool for converting HTML web pages to PDFs.

Here's how the new service works - bloggers add a small Javascript snippet in the blog templates, visitors can click the "Save Page as PDF" button and the current web page will be rendered as a PDF document.

Though the "SavePagesAsPDF" service is in closed beta, you can still give it a try as show below:

<script type="text/javascript">

function savePageAsPDF() {

var pURL = "http://savepageaspdf.pdfonline.com/pdfonline/pdfonline.asp?cURL=" + escape(document.location.href);

window.open(pURL, "PDFOnline", "scrollbars=yes, resizable=yes,width=640, height=480,menubar,toolbar,location");

</script>

<a href="javascript:savePageAsPDF()">Save Page As PDF</a>

Real Example - Print Google.com as PDF

When the SavePageAsPDF service goes live officially, you will be able to track all the PDF conversion activities on your website helping you visualize the most popular content on your blog.

More on the service at pdfonline.com/ and pdfonline.blogspot.com/.

The SavePageAsPDF is closed right now, but till then you can employ the above method and once they are open to everyone you can monitor which of your blogs are mostly downloaded. This is a neat tool for bloggers and websites.

Thanks Tshirtscene and Annalene, there is another software, instead of printing the paper in the printer, you can save it as a PDF file, it is called CutePDF does a good job. It is free. http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp you like a article, just go to File and Print and instead of choosing the actual printer, you can ask it to print the PDF instead via this CutePDF. Hope this is useful.

I used CutePDF before, I tested it, it shows in the Printers so you can choose this to print the document as PDF straight from Firefox, MS Office programs, etc., so you won't have problems. Thanks to Internet, we are able to get so many good programs that makes life easier, but for some reason we are doing more things than before :)
