Adding Orange Shoes Into Your Wardrobe
73When I saw this idea in the idea bank I overcame my natural repulsion to wearing the colour Orange and thought why would someone want to introduce orange shoes into their wardrobe... Here are my musings on the subject:
They are colourblind
The person in question obviously has a medical condition. Unfortunately this is not a curable condition. All that can be offered is to take someone with you when shopping, making sure that they are au fait with current fashion colours... orange shoes not being one of them!
The shoes are on special
I know a number of people who when they see the sale sign, cannot resist. I must however draw the line at orange shoes, shoes with diamantes (if you don't know what these are then lucky you!!) gold shoes and silver shoes... I know I may be coming across as somewhat of a shoe fashion police woman but I believe there needs to be a standard in shoe colours and none of the above shoes fit the criteria. My advice... don't succumb to bargain buying fever..resist bad fashion choices at every turn.
A friend gave them to you
I dont think I need to tell you this person is masquerading as a friend! Friends do not give "presents" of orange shoes to each other... Consider this an act of war or at the very least sabotage.
You are incarcerated in a US Federal Penitentiary
Orange shoes are the least of your worries at the moment. Let this be a lesson to you. Unless you face capital punishment or are imprisoned for the rest of your natural life you can learn from your past errors. I would suggest giving up your life of crime as your are clearly are not good it at, as you have been caught! Eliminate orange from your wardrobe for good by becoming a model citizen. In the meantime learn to love your orange wardrobe for the rest of your sentence.
You are wearing a biohazard suit
There could be many reasons for this. All of them involve dangerous chemicals and or microbes. My suggestion is that safety comes first. Sorry!
You are a clown
I find clowns sinister and not at all amusing, I suggest that you consider another profession that does not involve such revolting footwear and frightening children.
You are an attention seeker
As I like to say to the students there is good attention and bad attention... you are seeking bad attention. Wear some nice shoes and people will give you attention for the right reasons.
You think they are a "statement"
I will finish here with... the statement you are making is "I am a slave to fashion and I don't care what I look like."

It is a cup of tea!! promise:) It was not any accessory or a shoe!
Remember orange shoes are not outragous they are awful!
couldn't agree more.
I do have some silver-grey heeled evening shoes, though. Am I in trouble?
Grey is fine, shiny silver or gold (think gold lamme) is a concern so I think grey is ok. I know , I know there is a fine line between silver and grey but I believe you know which side of the line you are on:)
phew - they are definitely silver-grey, not shiny silver.
Great hub. The only thing I can think of worse than orange shoes are orange patent leather go-go boots.

A very complete exposition on a subject I have never thought about. I am all in favor of sensible shoes in a dark color (or colour). We agree that orange shoes are almost always insensible.
(What is that orange thing you are holding in yur hand?)
