Tips Tricks Cliff Notes version of On-Page Optomization

This was originally a comment on this hub but it became so long and I think pretty useful that I decided to just copy it into its own hub so here it is. This is a cliff notes version of tips and tricks for on page optomization, some things I'm learning as I do my job.

I'm essentially a copywriter, I write outsource blogs for clients who need backlinks, and I write articles for webmasters who need content. My boss is looking for some article writers actually so if anyone is looking for a copywriter career let me know I'll need proof that you can write well and compelling :) no qualifications are really needed beyond that. I don't want to reccommend anyone who can't do the job *wink*

Anywhoo on to the hub.. This is just jotted down. I barely have time anymore to write a hub so I just put the straight to the point tips here. I have several other more detailed hubs about making money with hubpages you can find them here.(more links at the bottom of this hub article for specifically hub help related hubs)

Hub pages does get alot of traffic. The trick to receiving that on your hub lays in your on page Optimization technologies.

Some tips:

1. You should use tags wisely not too many not too few and do your research on what tags for your pages particular theme are being searched for (what keywords people are using to arrive at your type of info),

2. You should title your page intelligently as well as this will be the Google indexed part and you should use keywords in your title (called anchor text as this will become the link on Google searches anyway)

3. You should choose a title/keyword phrase (the title you ORIGINALLY name your page, as when you change it it won't change the title indexed by Google evident by your articles url) that you can put into your article at least 3% of the time.

Essentially your keywords should be laced into the context "Naturally" so it sounds right. 3% of 700 words, the length of an optimized article for spiders, is 21 times I wrote an article for a client that I did this on, the site is not finished but each article that is you'll notice the keyword is used 3% or more times you can read that here: http://www.popup-blocker-reviews.com/ the keywords are also the titles of each page in the navigation menu, of course you won't have that here on HubPages but you get the idea.

Feel free to visit that page and count the keywords (the pages title/anchor text title). If you just landed their you wouldnt notice the frequency of the keywords but I'm sure if you go there now you will realize how many times I say popup blocker etc.. on a page. This takes some getting used to to write like this.

That page uses all the optimizing elements of an off HubPages page, on HubPages you should use at least 3 pictures, 700 words, 3% keywords in context and title/anchor text, at least 1 video ON TOPIC, and the comments module (new comments keep the page fresh but ALWAYS moderate).

4. Read the flagship hub qualifications page. This is a perfect model optimized hub, although I don't think they mention any of the keyword techniques you should use like 3% of the page etc..

Once you get all that done you should build your profile page a certain way as it also gets massive hits for some reason on Google.. Set this up so it describes you but laces in your hub links (see mine for an example). This will help you get traffic to your hubs and provides a linkback to your hub as well as links out of your profile page. Your hub should also have at least one link out somewhere (relevant). Internal links are ok, and this is a great way to link to your other hubs but make sure you link to other Huber's pages (using the special link) and try to get them to link back to yours; this doubles your traffic penetration efforts.

Side bar: This is also part of the algorythm of the hub score. (more on hubscore and other hub monitizing and psychology of hubing is at the end of this article with links to the hubs on them)

Google rewards (gives you brownie points in the crawl/spider) good plumbing.. If your page links out to other relevant pages this helps internet traffic move more smoothly.. the link out should use key worded anchor text too.

Once you get all that done you should seek out bookmarking sites to really get traffic flowing. Their are sites like the one I write blogs for that automate backlinks and many HubPage authors use this to get traffic flowing smoothly to their hub from Google (higher rankings follow authority site backlinks that they provide) these hits are designed to send traffic to their other page which they link to in their hub. This is not a good tactic just to do for your HubPages because these services often cost 150-200.00 a month and your essentially going to be giving HubPages 40% of your generated traffic hits (to ads) which is stupid, you could generate your own site, put adsense on it and send all traffic there and get the same traffic you'd get anyway on HubPages with the automated linkback system (it takes time still but works) and keep all the hits/adsense revenue. You should use HubPages as a traffic generator to your other adsense site not as the sole income generator.

You should check out a site called Super Apprentice They have a linkback network built in but their more for people who want to buy, monetize, and sell websites (what I'll be doing soon).

If anyone wants to work for the company I work for were looking for article writers, it pays ok and is as easy as building hubs I know they want more article writers (copywriters) no qualifications other than you can write well necessary. You will get good practice in building optimized pages :) If your interested email me here on my HubPages email and I'll tell you how to reach them as well as all the details I don't want to turn this hub into a spam page so I'll leave it at that.

These are tricks I learned from friends who make a lot of adsense money out there and things I've figured out from blogs I've written for clients. Traffic is your best friend, adsense is a number game.. The more traffic the more income pure and simple. I have other hubs that describe in some detail how HubPages traffic piping works and many other things I've discovered you can find them in my hub listings.

Here are the other helpful pages on hub page building and Hub Building secret realms..

Heres a shortcut to my other hub page building related hubs. I wrote a very detailed hub about hubscore here:

The rewards of actively participating on hubpages

and here:

HubTronics.

Here is something about the hubpages community and our growth plus my Hubpages Philosophy titled "As I Hub and Breathe"

and my HubPage stand up compedy page and my personal (pun) favorite: Making Hub to a blog and Hub Personals (for fun you'll love this one) Hub Personals (these were all written to teach in a comedian approach but theirs alot of good information here)

Hope this was helpful.

Face it. Were all here to get paid right?
