Adsense secret 3

Adsense and good money

Now when it is time for you to ad your adsense to your page remember to always test your Idea to make sure it works, there is several ways to place your adsense on your page tweaking your ads so they are more affective. Now we get to more advanced techniques for making you ads more effective.  There are several options I have used and through trial and error I have seen what works and what does not.  In essence, you need to incorporate a few different techniques and you must always track your results.  If something is not working, change it.  When you get to a point where you are making a lot of money, you have found what works.

These techniques work equally well for AdSense ads as well as affiliate ads.  The same tips can be used for both.  When you look at Google’s site, you will see sample ads and suggestions for placement.  I can confirm that these do not work.  I suggest ignoring these completely and following my advice instead.

Sizes

Again, with the size you want it to look like it is incorporated into your site.  The bigger the ad, the more easily identifiable it is as an ad.  The easier it is to ignore.

Banners and half banners also do well at the top of the page but the larger leaderboard is most effective in this position from my experience.

While I would suggest against using a banner ad, there are times they will work.  But, in order for it to work, you have to customize it to such an extent that it looks nothing like an advertisement.  Make sure there are no borders, the text and any fill correspond directly with your site.

Colors

One of the biggest mistakes I see often from people using affiliate and AdSense ads is that they make the ads stick out.  This is a mistake!  You want your ads to look like a part of the site.  If they look like ads, they are more easily ignored.

Borders

When it comes to borders, I typically tell people to remove them completely.
