Some of the advantages of owning a Futon

Futons are a great addition to any room. Due to thier design, they have an advantage over all other furniture. Futons are versatile, and functional.

  • Futons are not only comfortable to sit on but with the right mattress are a great bed.
  • The Futons are easy to assemble and break down making them easy to move or transport.
  • The construction or make of a Futon is all open for you to see.
  • Changing the Futon cover lets you be in style very economically.

Futon the right sofa bed

There are a multiple different firmness or materials of Futon mattresses on the market. How do you know which is the perfect fit for you? The right mattress will not only make your sitting experience on the Futon pleasurable but you will get a great night's sleep. Doctors recommend sleeping on a firm surface. Futon mattresses can give you all the firm support that you need. Due to the high demand of newer and more advanced mattresses there have been new developments. Some newest are made of natural materials like wool and latex. These natural materials will keep you cool in the summer while giving you the much needed warmth in the winter.

Easy asssembly of a Futon

Easy Disassembly of a Futon

Small Parts of a Futon are a major advantage

When delivered your Futon will come in boxes in small parts that are easy to assemble. This being able to break the futon down in smaller parts is one the Futons biggest advantage.

  • With the smaller parts you can access any small room, hallway, or odd positioned area and assemble it there.
  • When broken down into individual parts it easy to move the Futon, so transportation of a Futon is much easier than a traditional sofa. You could eve move it in the back of a station wagon, 4-wheel drive, minivan or suburban.

The assembly is easy just as it is easy to break it down. The packaging of the Futon makes it the perfect piece of furniture for anyone. Anyone starting out on their own for their new apartment, a student in their dorm room, in the office room of a home, attic loft or even a retiring person who doesn't want a lot of furniture to clutter around their small dwelling.

Open construction of the Futons

Futons are made of either all metal, metal frame and wood arms or all wood. In a Futon you will be able to see the whole frame and construction so you are certain to get what you pay for. In a traditional sofa the whole frame is covered with fabric, you have to go by the manufacturer's word that they have used all solid wood or the assembly really has nuts and bolts and not just glue. The mattress of the Futon rests on top of the frame so the frame is open to inspection and after years of owning your Futon you will see if it needs any tightening of nuts or if the wood slats are getting uneven ware.

Keeping up with the trends

This is my favorite part of owning a Futon. The cover of a Futon makes them unique and different than traditional sofas. Futon covers are easy to put on and take off. Most convers have easy zippers or some come with velroc closures. Futon covers are available in an extensive collection of colors and fabrics. It is easy to coordinate a Futon cover to any decor of your room. When the trends change and your neighbours get all new sofa for hundreds and thousands of dollars all you need to do is change the Futon cover and instantly change the look of your Futon and your room. It is easy to not only keep up the new styles and colors but you can decorate with holiday themes as well.

I suppose the ability to change the Futon cover is the most appealing factor for me. You don't want to stay with the same cover for a long time, at least I don't. They also double as a great bed. Good stuff you have here. I'm into home improvement myself.
