Adwords Success-Adwords Tips
65Adwords
Achieving adwords success should be relatively straight forwards. Everything’s laid out for you – Google appears to make it easy enough. However, when you know little or nothing about SEO, it suddenly becomes more daunting. And let’s face it, whenever anything’s related to earning money online – nothing’s ever really as easy as many claim it to be.
The truth is there’s a significant number of adwords users that are making a living. But that’s because they’ve thought outside the box. They haven’t added to the endless line of crap churned out day after day on the internet. Too many people employ their energies on get rich quick schemes, quickly abandon them and move onto the next ‘print money overnight’ scheme. Leaving the detritus behind.
Adwords advertising is a business and should be treat as one.
Google Adwords
Think about it like this: the minute you use Google adwords to generate ads that 10 million others have already spawned, the job’s buggered. Why? Because everyone else has already been there, done that! With online advertising, you can’t make money for old rope. Sad – but true! You got to think about how to revamp the rope – then you’re in with a better chance.
And so how can you revamp old rope? First, some adwords help and tips, though I'm still not trying to make it all sound easy. But it can be done. Just tweak your thinking laterally. Like I've said in a previous article, when doing your keyword research, take a word or phrase and give it a new name, a new way of saying the same thing. As an example – trading. Great word, especially when you couple it with ‘online’, or ‘forex’. However, do your homework. A million and then some (probably!) have already produced sites and relative adwords ads.
So think – trading – buying – selling – aha! Buying & selling!!! Now you’re getting somewhere! Now I’m not saying that ‘buying and selling online’ is a cracking keyword/phrase. I’m just trying to demonstrate how you need to start thinking. And the ‘thinking’ bit is the foundation – equal to your intended market of course. And your intended market needs to go hand in hand with your ad campaign (adwords term!). I’m hoping I don’t have to point out that you’re wasting your time designing a set of ads around teabags when your intended market is coffee. Do I?!
Adsense Help
I’m also hoping that what you’re getting from this article is the underlying message: don’t use what’s overused. You’ve more chance of achieving adsense success by cherry picking from the bottom of the keywords you’ve identified. Yes, I know, it’s hard to ignore an estimated $15 pay per click keyword. But trust me – check out how many others are already using it. Then check out the competition. You’ll be a very small fish in a very big pond.
Look for the lower paying keywords, with the lower search volumes. Check out the competition for those. You’ve got a far higher chance of success. Think of it like this: are you better with a high paying keyword and very very few clicks. Or lower paying ones that draws regular interest? Remember: pennies makes pounds. Diamonds don’t come as big as bricks. You get the picture!
So, let’s recap. Adwords tips:
- Think outside the box. Play around with words. Try and find lesser used keywords that mean the same thing
- Think quantity. Less is more. Aim for the lower branches on the adwords/keywords tree
- Check out the competition prior to making a final decision
- Treat your adwords campaign like a small business. Invest time and effort
- Be committed. But don’t waste your money either. Remember: adwords means putting money out to draw money in. So the key is to think, think, research and then think a little bit more
- If you're familiar with Google adsense then working along similar lines will be a productive way of creating your adword foundation
Basically everything I've written is common sense. None of it is rocket science. Adwords works (in terms of attracting clicks) in much the say way that an adsense account does. It involves time and effort - especially when it comes to the chosen keywords and how you use them. Random ads plastered about the internet are unlikely to allow you the freedom of giving up your day job.
Treat your ads as though it's a business (can't say this enough times business business business!) and devote the same time as you would to a tangible small business development strategy. That way you're far more likely to achieve adwords success!

Hi there. I'm into online promotion. It's rather obvious (but not a much shared secret) for those who've done the trial and error with ad sense that slightly less competitive keywords tend to have more payoff. But for those who just jumped on the ad sense trend, you've provided a good guide.
