Affiliate Marketing Mistakes That Should Be Avoided

Five Common Affiliate Mistakes
Everyday more and more affiliates are making the same mistakes in affiliate marketing and they’ve just been doing the same mistakes that were taught by the other so called affiliate marketing experts.
And would you believe that according to surveys, about 95% of these affiliates are not making any commissions at all. That's why avoiding these common mistakes you will easily increase your chances of making affiliate sales. Below are just some of the most common mistakes made and how to avoid them.
1. Not Having an SEO plan
As what we've often observed, most successful affiliates make the search engines their best friends. It's because Search Engines are the best source for long-term, free traffic for your affiliate sites. So if you're building for search engines make sure that your site have a clean coding, excellent content and well optimize pages.
It is important to keep your pages clean and targeted so that your readers won't get confused on what kind of products are you selling. Having a clean looking page also helps to get them to click over to the products you are promoting.
2. Too many banners!
I guess the biggest problem seen in affiliate sites is that they are filled with too many banners. Your main goal is to lure visitors with good content and then urge them to click on the banner to learn more. If you focus your efforts on writing original personal endorsements, relevant articles and images, you will see your sales will increase. Also always keep in mind to personalize your site and modify it to suit your target area.
3. Playing It CHEAP
It's understandable that you don’t want to spend a lot of money getting your sites up and running. But also keep in mind that no one wants to visit a site that looks like it doesn’t have any money. This might send a message to potential subscribers that either you have not made any money or that you really don’t have a clue of what you are doing. Hosting and domain names are not that expensive anymore. Spending about 15 dollars a year for both domain name and hosting will not break your bank account. In the long run, it will make your site look professional and more people will take you seriously.
4. Lack of Solid Foundation
Building something of value and creating a solid foundation is the key to earning money. Even if your site is small, it is still useful and informative not only about what you are selling, but how it will help people. Keep in mind that a site that helps people will do wonders for your marketing. One way of improving your foundation is to allow people to link back to your site.
5. Not Evolving
We have to remember that "Change is the only constant thing". And same with other marketing, change is always experienced in Affiliate Marketing. That's why in order for you to survive such changes you need to constantly evolve as well. There are so many techniques that can help you on this one. Just like this Affiliate Evolution product that was launched couple of days ago.
Let's admit, It does take time to build the perfect affiliate site. However, with a little perseverance and patience, people will see your site, view you as an expert in your field.
