When people talk about affordable vacation packages they are not looking for a few bucks off the room rate, or gas coupons to help them with their travel costs. People are looking for real bargains. So where do most people start; on the internet. Travelocity and Expedia are the big names in the business, and when you search you can find some eye catching bargains.

Most of the people we talk with aren't looking for cut rate pricing; they really don't expect the resort to give things away for free. Most understand the resorts need to make money also. If you find that to be the case check directly with the airlines, many times they can offer you a better deal when dealing with them direct. They don't always give the big guys all the available seating.

The owner rents the unit and you have place that has all the comforts of home. And by simply being able to eat a few meals in can save a huge amount of money for other activities.

This is a little hidden secret, check with a local real estate firm. Many of them have contacts with homes and condos that can be rented out at very affordable prices. Many of these are vacation homes that people and not using and are will to rent to help cover their costs.
