An African Safari: A Trip Of A Lifetime

If you love traveling, then I have just a place for you. Visit the great continent of Africa. Forget about what you have read about bad things and how undeveloped Africa is. You have got to go see it for yourself. As a traveler, we are here to explore, seeing is believing. My best place to start with is Kenya and Tanzania. Add this to your "bucket List"

Before you embark into your trip, there are very essential things you should do as a traveler to any country in Africa.

  • Get immunization. Africa is known for deathly malaria that is caused by mosquitoes.
  • Learn the basic: At the very least learn minimum, on how to say hello, how to order food, how to ask for directions, or how to ask a simple question. This will be very helpful on your trip.
  • Make early arrangements for accommodations: Use a travel agency and get a package deal, airfare & hotel etc. You can even get on with a group, which is usually cheaper. Have plan B, things go wrong all the time with traveling.
  • Definitely make copies of your travel documents.
  • Leave a telephone # for your hotel so that you can be reached if there is an emergency at home.
  • Buy Travel insurance while booking your ticket, it might come handy

What to expect: You will need patience at times. Depending on country you are going to, there is bound to be a delay at airports, bus stops, and public transportation. You are in Africa so things might not be as quickly as what you are used to in your developed country. Now what countries to visit, in terms of vaccinations, political unrest, and also climate.

Kenya: Official spoken language is Swahili and English, although not everyone in the village will speak English. This is a beautiful country located in East Africa along the equator. In additions to wild life, Kenya also is among world’s exports of Tea. Another commodity they export to European countries is a flower especially to Amsterdam. This country also offers some of interesting people like the Maasai, who are known for nomadic way of living. So immerse yourself in the local culture and get to know them.

When you visit Kenya, you will get to meet the:
