Afro Samurai (アフロサムライ Afuro Samurai) is a Japanese Manga series created by the famous Takashi Okazaki.

It is a bloody and comediac story told in the abstract times of Ancient japan.

Main character is voiced by Samuel L Jackson.

The musical score is produced by the RZA of the Wu-tang clan.
A new Blu Ray DVD has been released for the series also, for extra high definition quality.

Set in an abstract japan, which is both a mix of futuristic and traditional, the series follows the adventures of Afro. Afro the samurai is named this because of his unusual afro, which is a comedy highlight of many battles.

Afro Samurai is on a mission of revenge, following the death of his father, at the hands of a brutal murderer called justice. The battle was inevitable, as the number one swordsman will rule the world, and achieve god like powers. The person who is number one, can only be challenged by the number two, and anyone can challenge the number one. Justice was the number two, and killed Afro Samurai's father who was the number one, right in front of him. After taking the ceremonial headband he left the young Afro Samurai. 

Now Afro Samurai is the number two and is seeking out Justice to extract his revenge. However there is challengers to the number two from the mysterious Empty Seven Clan as the various assasins come to kill Afro Samurai, and take his number two headband.

Will they kill Afro Samurai before he avenges his fathers murder?
