After a long, tiring, endless busy work, you had a chance to unwind, what could be the best to start with?
58Since I put in 60 to 70 hrs a week at work, the first thing I do when I get home is kick off my shoes. I then attend to a few things, my cats, laundry, mail, etc. That takes all of about 15-20 minutes. If it's not too late, I will make a cup of coffee. While that is brewing, I get my jammies on, go sit at the computer, check out a few things, then shut down. Off to bed I go to watch a little tv, or not, and head off to dreamland.
When the weather is nice, I might take my coffee, or a well-deserved drink, and go outside for a short while and enjoy the fresh air. My granddaughter enjoys it when I go outside, She will join me and we will play ball or color.
There are some nights when I do none of the above, just get in my jammies and lights out!

I used to unwind on the way home from work, crank up the stereo and sing.
Hi G-Ma,
Well, I work two jobs, have been for the last four years or so. How do I do it? heck if I know LOL,,,I think at this point it's called 'auto-pilot' :)
Don't know how many more years I can keep this up, but I will till my battery runs out :)
Hi Donna,
I love music too and keep my favorite CDs in my truck. Since I work so much I generally listen to an all talk channel to catch up on the news, but after a while I get sick of hearing it, then I'll put on the music. I love how music takes you outside of the everyday rat race.
thank you both for stopping by,
Trish
Now that is what I call, "killer work". So many hours working.. ahhh. You defintely need some winding up to do. I always enjoy my coffee outside, fresly brewed under a big Acacia tree besides our house, watching my kids play around.
Hi lancedimetri,
Yes, it is an awful schedule. You might want to check out my other hub 'Falling Apart'. I am currently looking for ways to ease this frantic pace. It's tiring, not only physically but mentally.
So I do look forward to the hours I do have to myself and just try to make the best of it. And, aren't kids great? I love spending time with my granddaughter (almost 7),,,she is a delight. Wish I could harness some of THAT energy LOL,,,
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Trish
I had jobs that required that many work hours. I remember the days I had jobs i worked 12 hour shifts 6-7 days a week. I don't know I did it, but I do know there was no time in the day to do much else but sleep, barely eat and do it all over again. Hopefully one day you won't have those horrible hours and you'll be able to enjoy even more time with your grandaughter.
Hi crazybeanrider,
I certainly can identify with you. I only wish there were more hours in a day, except they would be spent catching up on sleep no doubt,,
I certainly am looking forward to the day I can either slow down or just plain old retire :)
Thanks so much for your kind words,
Trish
