Whoa! The Baby is Here!
I am a 25 year old first time mother and I'm going to be completely honest here. When your pregnant it's all visions of cuddling with your baby, smiles and crying at episodes of bringing home baby. First of all I've always been conscious of my weight and tried to keep it under control. Call me vain but I like to look good and feel good. I got gestational diabetes and gained like 70 pounds. I'm not saying they are related, I was after all really not watching what I was eating at all. I was hungry all the time! ( the gestational diabetes) So anyway I got huge. 20 hours after my water broke, and a c-section later my little bundle of joy was here! I was running on adrenaline, for like 2 days straight! I didn't want him to be in the nursery but in the room with me because I was breastfeeding. I was so worried all the time if he was getting enough to eat. It a was weird and a over the edge constant worry I was having. I was freaking out plus no sleep what so ever because it seemed like I was always breastfeeding and I was also recovering from a c-section. I've never had such panic and worry. After two weeks of breastfeeding I couldn't take it anymore I went to formual. No more worry right? Not about that but then I was irritated all the time, lack of sleep I'm sure had a part anyway long story short at my six week appointment I got put on celexa for postpartum depression. First time in my life I've been diagnosed with depression. I think another contributing factor was the horrible acne I developed on my face after I stopped breastfeeding. I mean it consumed my whole face. Alright so I know not everybody is going to have a dramatic experience like I did.
How did I get myself back? The right foods really helped alot. I drink soy smoothies with frozen blueberries for breakfast. I try to drink a gallon of water a day. It cleared up my acne tremendously. I also eat fiber bars and lots of broccoli and apples. Lots of protein eggs, tuna, and baked chicken breasts. I've lost the 70 lbs I gained during pregnancy and now actually have the clearest skin I've ever had! Fiber goes into your intestanol track and picks up toxins so you flush them out. The water cleanses toxins as well and also just lets your body function at it's best. Water is the best beauty secret! I also do tae bo 4 times a week. I got the new t3 system. I lost 30lbs doing the original taebo 3 years ago and now with a good diet I've lost 70! I love taebo ecause it helps you build muscle so you burn more fat. I can't starve myself I like to eat to much. I also drink grapefruit juice and If I crave soda I have a diet rite. There is no sodium or calories. So Exercising and Eating right is really the only way to go for mental and physical well being.
