After Dinner Kabobs
59The sweetest kabob You probably know (and if you’re anything like me love) kabobs as meat and veggies on sticks. It is great food, simple to make and very tasty kabobs are a world class, but they can also make an amazing dessert. We’ll take a look at some dessert kabobs that will be great after dinner. The melon kabob Take honey due melon and pineapple, cut into 1 inch chunks and do not space them. The strawberry kabob Take fat slices of strawberries and marshmallows cut into thirds and alternate every other. Be sure to begin and end with a marshmallow drizzle with melted chocolate if you like. The Pineapple/Lime Kabobs Take 1 inch slices of pineapple and alternate with thin slices of lime, being sure not to begin or end with a lime. So, which of these kabobs can you eat cold, and which would be better warm? Well the pineapple/lime kabobs could use some heat and so could the melon one. This is mainly because pineapple is hard, the lime is only for flavor (but you knew not to eat that, right) and melon can hold its own. When warm, the strawberry/marshmallows are probably best served cold. Please bear in mind we’re talking warm, not cooked, and definitely not charred. A little brown on the edges of the pineapple is ok, but no black and not a great amount. So, how can you serve this; my favorite is right on the stick, but if you must have a more polished service option on top of a bowl of vanilla ice cream is always nice, or you could serve it next to yogurt (have optional granola on hand too).Overall the health benefits here are:-no added sugar (unless you drizzle)-no added fat (unless you drizzle)-lots of vitamins-a serving of fruit
