Welcome to Agatha Christie's Book Reviews Hub

Hi and Welcome to our hub for Agatha Christie book reviews.

Agatha Christie is one of my, and many other people's, favorite murder and mystery writer. She was born on the 15th September 1890 and died on 12th January 1976.

According to the Wikipedia article, "Christie has been called - by the Guinness Book of World Records, amongst others - the best-selling writer of books of all time and the best-selling writer of any kind, along with William Shakespeare. Only the Bible is known to have outsold her collected sales of roughly four billion copies of novels."

In this hub we will be reviewing her different books and perhaps a few Agatha Christie inspired games. We trust that you will enjoy this hub and find it interesting and informative.

Great to find a Christie fan. She is my favourite crime fiction writer. While I like Mrs.Marple, Harley Quinn, Tommy and Tuppence and others, I am a bit parrtial to Poirot's mysteries.

The murder of Roger Ackroyd is indeed among her most suspenseful ones!

Do any of you know if the Miss Marple movies are still available? I remember having watched those on German TV many years ago. I distinctly remember Miss Marple swooshing her cape onto her back and jumping on her bike. She always also had a male friend who wrote a tricycle (which I found quite weird as a teenager). I think it was Margaret Rutherford who played Miss Marple.

I'd appreciate any advice on how to get at least one of those movies for reminiscence.

The Seven Dials Mystery

I have just finished reading "The Seven Dials Mystery" for the second time and thoroughly enjoyed it. What appeals to me about most of Christie's books is the wonderful twists in the tale.

In this book you will be investigating who the Seven Dials are, and what did they have to do with the murders of Gerald Wade and Ronney Devereaux? Did they kill these two young men or was it someone else?

If you are an Agatha Christie fan then I am sure that you will enjoy this mystery.

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd

Another Agatha Christie novel with a brilliant twist. Who killed Roger Ackroyd?

There are a number of different possibilities, of course, and each with a different motive but who was it?

This story is told from the viewpoint of Roger Ackroyd's doctor who was called immediately after the butler found the body and also was Hercule Poirot's helper in the case.

According to the Library Journal review on Amazon.com, "This novel, written in 1927, is considered the best and most successful of the early mysteries."

I really encourage you to read this Agatha Christie book if you have not already done so. You will really enjoy it and find it surprising.

Sparkling Cyanide

It's been a year since Rosemary Barton killed herself by taking cyanide at her party. Now her husband is holding another party, with the same guests, and a surprise in store.

The only problem is that the surprise turns against him when he is murdered at this party.

Now you need to determine who did it and why?
